About Me

I live in Los Angeles, and my life is bizarre. I wish people would break out into choreographed song and dance routines while I grocery shop.

My Interests

mental to-do lists, polaroids, books, politics, trying to cook, thrift stores, driving around aimlessly, caffeine, newspapers, sleeping with the windows open, dance parties, painting, riding my bicycle, shoes, singing in my car, cleaning sprees, knitting.

I'd like to meet:

Bruce Springsteen. Missy Elliott. Jimmy Carter. My grandparents.

Music:

currently:
PJ Harvey
billy bragg
cat power
elliott smith
neutral milk hotel

Movies:

Books:

I like to read. Things I enjoy: children's books, House of Leaves, The Unbearable lightness of Being, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, The Color Purple, etc-trying to think of all of them would take way too long, because I'm a turbo-nerd and read a lot.

Heroes:

my mom, my dad, everyone who's getting grown-up jobs, and anybody who has run a marathon (except puff daddy. he'll never be my hero).

My Blog

mutiny

I'm ready for a vacation. A real one - not that home wasn't wonderful, but a vacation where I don't have to do a damn thing. LA is starting to feel home-ish, but I think I need some days away from it,...

So I know it was just mother's day, but I'm going to write about my Dad instead. Because I can. My dad just came out to visit, and he went home yesterday. It was really good to see him...especially af...

I have decided that the beach is the key to my own personal sanity. I don't care if the water is dirty. Staring at the waves, watching the lone surfer float on his board until a good wave comes, scrib...
