We're all of us meant to be heroes

About Me

I'm an actor/singer living and working in Baltimore, MD. I'm a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with my B.F.A. in Theater and Psychology. As part of my NYU training, I studied at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and Stonestreet Film & T.V. Studio. I have an interest in heroes ancient, medieval, and modern. I'm a member of the Mythopoeic Society, which is devoted to the study of the Inklings canon (especially the works of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Charles Williams). I also love singing and laughing; both kinds of music bring joy to my life.

Life has been extremely busy for me this summer! After finishing up squiring for the Joust at the Virginia Renaissance Faire, I was cast in several projects almost immediately. I've started rehearsals as Charles Thomson, Secretary of the Congress, in 1776, with Pasadena Theatre Company, going up Oct. 3 (http://ptcshows.com). In Sept. I start rehearsals as Tom Valiunus in Wendy Wasserstein's The Sisters Rosensweig, being directed by Steve Goldklang at Fells Point Corner Theatre (http://www.fpct.org) and opening Nov. 7, the week after 1776 closes (!). In June, I was hired as the assistant to the producer of Between the Lines Films' new short Never Lie to Your Mother, or Mother Knows...Best! (http://www.betweenthelinesvideo.com). In one week, I cast and produced a staged reading of the script, which is about to go into production, and in which I have just been cast in the supporting role of Steve, the drag queen neighbor. (It's all about range...) All this while teaching at Spotlighters Young Actors Academy (http://www.spotlighters.org), and finding time to visit the U.K. for the first time, including a one-week seminar on C.S. Lewis at Oxford with the C.S. Lewis Foundation (http://www.cslewis.org). WHEW!

UPDATE: I just finished shooting as a principal in CAS Video Productions' TIPS for the University, an educational video on responsible drinking in college. Catch me as a frat party bouncer, and a drunken flip-cup player. (I brought eight t-shirts on which to spill my "beer," but we caught it in two takes!)

See my "Companies" section for all my current activities, including administrative and box office work. I am represented by Greer-Lange Talent Agency of Philadelphia for film, T.V., commercials, industrials, and print.
