About Me

SOPHIA MARTINEZ is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. When asked what she enjoys most about her career she says "giving a different perspective about performing arts and what it entails." After studying Acting at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA); Political Science at L.S.U. and University of Houston Downtown, she states "education is important and it will only help me become a better person." Sophia has various Print (BANK OF AMERICA, HOUSTON CHRONICLE, HIM MAGAZINE, CENTEX, WAL-MART WHOLEFOOD MARKET, etc) and Runway modeling (CATALINA, MELODRAMA BOUTIQUE, LOT 8 BOUTIQUE, etc) credits under her belt. Working with big name companies such as XOXO, J.C. PENNEY'S, HARD CANDY, KARL KANI, BABY PHAT, and MAURICE MALONE just to name a few. Her accomplishments don't stop there. She's done several television commercials including HOUSTON CHRONICLE, ACADEMY SPORTS & OUTDOOR and UNCLE BEN'S RICE. Let's not forget the film projects she's been a part of including COLOR OF BLOOD, JACOB'S LADDER, DARK ANGEL, THE MAESTRO and currently filming IN PLAIN SIGHT.Sophia started on a path of success a long time ago, and thus far has taken calculated steps in the right direction to achieve her dreams. After asked what's next for her career , she responds "To pursue acting on a full time basis". She also states, "GOD is the reason why I have made it this far". With her extreme talent and great faith we think Sophia Martinez is ON THE BRINK of becoming a major star.

I would like to have a 'sit down' and talk to GOD first and then Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Forest Whitaker, Denzel Washington & Nicole Kidman for right now; would like to have the opportunity to sit & talk with Martin Luther King Jr.
