When it comes to thought, some people stop at nothing

About Me

..

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"The wise man can pick up a grain of sand and envision a whole universe. But the stupid man will just lay down on some seaweed and roll around in it until he's completely draped in it. Then he'll stand up and go hey, I'm Vine Man."
Hewwo. My name is Jennie Leung.
I'm 19 and half Chinese, a quarter English and from some random other places too. I love parties and cheesy music and have an unusually strong love for karaoke and bad dance routines
Here are some of my best friends. They're great.
MY CHARACTER TRAITS
I'm very much a 'no regrets' person. I never want to be in a position where I look back upon my life and think "what if...". Because of this I can be quite daring and often do things that a lot of people would consider weird.
I've been told that I have an innocence about me which could explain why I'm quite an inquisitive person and like to know why things are how they are. I often find myself daydreaming about strange surreal things. I get bored easily and like to be around people who make me happy.
I adopted this poison foetus. Isn't he cute ^_^
MORE INTO MY LIFE
I work for SSE at the moment in a big office with lots of people which I think is just awesome. I couldn't work somewhere where I see the same three or four faces every day and no one else. The money there isn't bad either. Still, it's not exactly the moxt exhilarating job in the world and I'm umming and arring about going to uni at the moment. More for the experience than anything else. Saying that, I would be pretty annoyed if I didn't use my degree afterwards I think, assuming I got one :P. Anyway though, yeah SSE has its benefits, and I have a game plan for while I'm there. I know where I want to go in the company. Check back in a few years and we'll see if I've got there :P
I went to Havant college and studied Psychology, English Langaue, Art and Design, Philosophy, General Studies and for a short time Computing, Electronics and Level Three Computing Key Skills. My favourite was philosophy and I'll probably end up carrying it on if I go into higher education.
In my spare time I like to be with people I'm close to. When I'm by myself I'm usually asleep, but when I'm awake I'm most probably on the computer. I also like to draw and paint. Below are a fair few pictures that I've done recently
One of the things I value most in the world is friendship, real friendship anyway. I treat my friends like my family and hold them very highly in my life.
We're so hot we're hypnotising :P

adopt your own virtual pet!
Have a play with Hodgeheg
I:
Haven't got the most logical mind or common sense
Am pedantic
And a bit of a nerd :P
Am never very sure of myself
Feel lonely a lot
Can be quite self destructive
Get scared seemingly irrationally
Can be quite shy
Have an addictive personality, in the bad way
Get attatched to things too easily
Don't have the world's best self control or willpower
Can be stubborn
And jealous
Get emotional easily
Have an awful sense of direction
Need reassurrance
Can't trust easily
Obsess over things
Think way too much and stress myself out
Am naive
And a dreamer
... But I also:
Can be sweet
And attentive
And very affectionate
Am lateral
And creative
And somewhat innocent
Love being close to people I care about
Am honest
Am quite artistic
Like to have fun and relax
Love a good cuddle
Have a slight quirkyness about me
Think laughing is one of the best things in the world
Look out for people I care about
Am pretty social
Will say what's on my mind
Will stick by you
And, given the right person, can love with all my heart
This is how I perceive myself anyway. I guess it's up to you to make up your mind about me though. Either way, it's nice that you've taken an interest. Thank you for noticing me. Xx
LITTLE THINGS TO KNOW FOR FUN:
- I'm into weird sort of art, and like people who share a similar view of it to me
- I like to dress up a lot in cute little outfits and the like
- I've been know to be quite the tease, so I've been told :P
- I have a bit of a thing for 'dark' looking guys, in the evil sense of the word
- I find it almost physically impossible to be on time for anything. It's like the forces of the world unite in some dark and mysterious way to make me late for everything
- I'm a pretty lateral person, so you shouldn't ever expect a completely straight answer or thought from me
- I have a bit of an issue with trust and I don't forgive people easily
- I hate smoking, with a passion. If you smoke that's automatically points against you in my books. I have a lung intolerance to cigarette smoke and can't stand people smoking around me or in public, it's insensitive and pointless. Don't do it.
- I've been legally ordained and am a reverend - If you're lookong for someone to perform a marriage ceremony, look no further
- I have strange irrational fears that affect me quite a lot on a day to day basis, so I often feel like I need protecting as I am scared
- I work way too much for someone my age, plus overtime sometimes, and am still out a fair few nights a week clubbing or at friends', or at the pub or something. Hardcore you say? Too right it is :P - And basically if you like the sound of me give me a message and we can chat, I'm frinedly, I don't bite... too hard anyway
ON LIKES AND DISLIKES WHEN IT COMES TO PEOPLE
I can get along with most people really, but obviously I'm better friends with people who have characteristics that suit mine.
As a rule, 'cool' people kinda suck. I like to be around people who are fucked up in one way or another because I feel more comfortable around them. People with their own ideas and ways of thinging are great, I like that. If you know me you'll know I'm one of the least logical people you'll ever meet. I have a very lateral mind and love it when someone can match that. I think the one trait in people which I really can't stand is arrogance. Obviously I don't like other things too, but that's the main one... well that and people who type in stupid text messaging language :)
I think I'm attracted to people with something about them which intrigues me. I like people whom I can learn something from and have an intelligent conversation with, but also who I can have fun with and be able to be myself and relax around because I don't trust people easily.
I WOULD LIKE:
To find out my purpose in life
To be happy with who I am
To find the perfect guy for me A black Mercedes, not sure what style was called
A place of my own eventually...
...with a big garden
To start swimming and working out regularly again
A tattoo on the back of my neck

My Interests

Seeing friends - Seriously, I get so bored when I'm on my own for long periods of time. I don't think I'm very amusing company :P

Drawing/Painting - It lets me be creative and imaginative, and you can do more than you can with photos, as I'm not the best at image manipulation

SPaG - If you know what this is then you're probably laughing at me. And if you don't then it's probably better you don't. Either way, it interests me, okay? :P

Blogging - I generally do this when I'm angry or bored. I write about things that bug me, or what I've done, rather than actual problems I think I have though. So to say I use it to vent is only half true.

Music - Listening to it, dancing, drawing from it, etc. I can't play any instrument that well and I can't sing for love or money, but it's fun to try. I had a bit of a thing for karaoke when I was younger too. There are videos of friends and I dressed up in silly hats wielding blow up saxophones and guitars singing to the likes of Kool and the Gang and Gloria Gaynor. Yeah... those need to be destroyed :P

Going out - When I go out I like meet up with lots of people. I can be quite social, especially where alcohol is concerned. I go out with friends but always end up speaking to other people randomly too, just 'cause it's fun to meet people

Staying in - I like to stay in and cuddle up and watch a film or something sometimes too, when I'm seeing someone anyway.

Meeting new people - I love to meet new people. Training at Sky was one of the happiest times in my life. So many people to get to know ^_^

Internets - Yeah, okay I can be quite the nerd I know. I'm pretty much always on the net when I'm at home... unless I'm sleeping that is, or in the shower or something

Nails - I like having my nails look nice. I do random designs on them a lot like different coloured flames and things

DDR - I am quite the Dance Dance Revolution fan. I used to be on a team for it, back in college, but I never really liked the competative side of it, so I only play occasionally now, for recreation rather than competition

Games - I like a fair few other games too. Other rhythm games are a favourite of mine too. Things like Guitar Hero and Pop'n Music are rather fun, though I haven't gotten my head around Para Para Paradice or Easy 2 Dancer yet. I like console/computer games too. My favourite was Zool 2 for the Amiga. That was a legendary game. Racing games are fun too, though sometimes they give me motion dizziness.

Philosophy - I love debates about philosophial matters. I used to stay up for hours with my friends talking about this, and hopefully soon I will do a course at Uni on Philosophy and go into teaching it one day.

Sudoku - I do sudoku a lot at work because, well to be honest it's not the most interesting job in the world. I also enjoy the odd crossword

Vampires and Dark Angels - I have a bit of a thing for them I have to say. Seriously, clubbing on halloween for me is like heaven :P

Swimming - I used to swim for a couple of teams, but I stopped before my exams. I'd like to take this up again some time soon

Photos - I love having photos of my friends and I if we're out for an evening or something. It's fun to take them in stupid poses which seem cool at the time, and it helps you remember what you actually got up to that night

Dressing up - It's so fun. I love to dress up in cute outfits, even if I do get some funny looks

Lateral thining puzzles - I'm not bad at these, I have to say

And there you go, they're pretty much my interests. They're a tad unusual I know, but meh, keeps life interesting ^_^

I'd like to meet:

Whom I'd like to meet? Someone who wants to understand me would be nice.

When it comes to specific people I'd say:
Salvador Dali - To see if he lives up to the legend
Luis Royo - His work is amazing, he's my art idol
Robert and Shana Parkeharrison - To see how they got the ideas for their photographs, and how they managed to create them
The Mad Hatter - I'd love to go to that tea party
Walt Disney - I'm just curious to see what he's really like
Jareth the Goblin King - I want to experience the labyrinth... and also find out who his hair dresser is :P
H.R Giger - How he gets so much detail into his work is beyond me. I want to learn his secrets
Chester from Linkin Park - Amazingly hot alternative guy. Speaks for itself really
The people behind Marvel and DC - To talk about ideas and see their sketches in real life
David Tennant - Come on, he's The Doctor. Need I go on?
Hugh Jackman - ... Wolverine... grrrr ^_~
Josh Holloway - Hehe can't say I'd mind being stranded with Sawyer! ^_~

Music:

I tend to be able to listen to most music unless it is either way too shouty / rappy, too commercial, only sells copies because of half naked girls on the video or quite simply is speedcore :P

Then there are particular songs which mean something special to me, but there aren't many, and I won't write them here because they're not for internets. If a song reminds me of you, you'd know it does anyway.

Movies:

My all time favourite film is Fantasia. There's something about it, it's really quite magical.

After that it's probably a toss up between The Labyrinth and Alice in Wonderland.

Other than that...
SCI-FI!!
SCI-FI!!
SCI-FI!!

I'm also a big fan of films that make you think, as well as some comedies and action films. Pretty much as long as it has a story line and it's not horror or horifically violent, you're good.

Television:

I don't watch a whole lot of TV. The two shows I watch on a regular basis are EastEnders (which I can be quite particular about watching so I've been told) and Waterloo Road.

I'm a big Friends fan too, as well as some other shows which I'd like to catch up on some time. These include:
- Lost
- The OC
- Desperate Housewives
And cartoons such as:
- American Dad
- Family Guy
- Futurama
I also like those pretty random shows which make you wonder how they ever achieved air time, for instance:
- Robot Wars
- Takeshi's Castle
- Gladiators
- Brainiac
- Scrapheap challenge
- Let me entertain you (seriously, it baffles me how this ever got on TV)

I really don't like shows like Big Brother, but for some reason I was quite the Pop Idol fan.
I also remember being hooked on This Morning for a while, but I think that was just because of Philip Schofield :P

Books:

I don't read a whole lot, which I want to ammend soon.
Like the films, I like books that get my mind and imagination going.
Manga is pretty cool too, and comics. I like the drawing style a lot in some of them.
I remember my favourite book when I was younger was a book called The Far Away Tree. It was pretty weird, changing lands and magical creatures. I don't know where it is now though, which is a shame.

Heroes:

I don't think that I have a hero or a heroin.
I wouldn't say that I'd take a celebrity and put them on a pedestal as a hero of mine, because at the end of the day I know nothing about them really.
As far as people I know go, for every good thing about someone there's probably something not so great. And as much as I like some of the people I know, I couldn't hold someone in that high a regard as to call them my hero.
... Heh I sound like a right sardonic fuck don't I?
Don't get me wrong, there are people whom I admire and look up to, but they're few and far between.
If I would condider anyone a hero it would probably end up being some form of fictional character actually I think.
