I am here for Friends

About Me

Fun-loving 80s Glam Girl! I love going out dancing with friends, meeting new people & making the most of my free time. I also love my gorgeous boyfriend, Paul. He rocks my world!

I love all things Glam & Girlie! I love pink shiny things, especially stars and hearts.
I'm here on MySpace mainly to keep in touch with all my real friends up & down the country, but am happy to make new online friends & check out bands if I think you're cool! I'm not a picture collector - I read all my friends' profiles carefully & try to correspond as much as possible through mail & bulletins.
I LOVE HANOI ROCKS!
Check out these cool Hanoi vids!
Get this video and more at MySpace.com
The one below is from Milton Keynes in June 2006... I was there with my friends Em & Lew! (thanks to Royzee for the clip)

My Interests

The biggest love of my life is my friends! We're always there for each other no matter what, and they're never far from my thoughts. We also have a lot of fun times together, travelling to different clubs and gigs around the country.
My favourite club is Wildside in Nottingham

I don't do any of the "big" summer festivals due to their poor organisation, bad security & high costs - but I love biker rallies such as the Bulldog Bash and Rock 'N' Blues

Classic cars are a big thing of mine - I used to own a lovely 1982 Austin Allegro called Daisy. She was white, with moo-cow car seat covers and furry dice! She's now in retirement, being used by "my" mechanic as a courtesy car. At least she's being well looked after.

If I had the money, I would also love to own a Vauxhall Cresta PA Convertible in pink and white (an original colour scheme!) or a Cadillac Coupe Deville (a C.C. Deville!) I attend a lot of classic car shows over the summer.
I love animals and have been a vegetarian since 1995. I'm also a member of the RSPB.
I LOVE food - almost anything, so long as it's veggie! I love to cook when I get the chance, or eat out and try new things. If I had to choose a favourite type of cooking it would be Indian as the range of veg & cooking styles used is just awesome.

I'd like to meet:

Any like-minded Glammies - male or female, young or old, single or in a relationship - there's not many of us left, so get in touch!

Music:

My favourite band is Hanoi Rocks - I've seen them 9 times in the last couple of years.

Some more of my favourites:

Dogs D'amour

Bang Tango

The Wildhearts

Tigertailz

Quireboys

Twisted Sister

Pretty Boy Floyd

Faster Pussycat

Poison

Motley Crue

Towers Of London

The Glitterati

Movies:

I like Johnny Depp...

...and car chases...

...and goofy Teen Movies

Television:

I also like documentaries & other "serious" stuff when I get the chance, but not much else on a regular basis... I'm too busy out having fun!

Books:

I'm just getting back into reading after a long absence. Thanks to my bestest friend SoSo Violet, I've recently discovered the joy of Roald Dahl short stories. Each one is a perfect little package of weirdness!
I also like books to do with music, like The Dirt. I used to love Terry Pratchett books but haven't had the time to read one in ages.

Heroes:

My friends and family, who I love unconditionally :-)

My Blog

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

A fortnight ago, I went to Hunstanton with my frined Christine and her friend Charles for the day. Christine loves the seaside no matter what time of year, but I must confess I was a little apprehensi...

Farm Shops

We used to have a number of little greengrocers in Kettering, which were always a pleasure to visit.  The staff were friendly and the produce was cheap, especially for the more "exotic" fruit &am...

Valentine's Day with Sweet Seduction and Rattlesnake Remedy!

Valentine's day... what sort of image does that conjure up to most people?  Romantic meals?  Cuddly toys & flowers?  Cheap and itchy lace undies? Well for me this year, it meant wat...

The Wildside Festival - Awesome!

The waiting is finally over! After months of anticipation, the Wildside Festival finally descended upon us.  And what a night it was! I arrived in typically late Glammie style, and so was gutted ...

Time for Change...

Those of you who know me well will understand two of the big loves in my life: dancing, and my Allegro Daisy. Unfortunately, they don't mix too well!  Daisy is now 24 years old, and finding it ha...

My Allegro

My Allegro's called Daisy, and was born in 1982 - one of the last ones made. I've owned her for over 3 years now - since early April 2003 - and, until recently, she's always proven to be the perfect t...

Why all the misery?

It seems to me, that not everyone wants to notice the good things in our lives, and only want to concentrate on the bad. One question - why? We live on the most beautiful planet, and ev...
