You know what? I'm just going to empty my head in here for a few seconds, tell you about me and what i'm up to, and then get the hell out of here.Primarily because i'm bored to death of reading profiles of DJ's / Producer's / Artist's / Band's and whoever else on here that constantly refer to themselves in the third person.Anyway, i'm 26, i'm from Liverpool and have been pursuing a career in the music industry for the past 5 years since i left univeristy. I've been lucky enough to work at Cream in this time, working abroad and in the UK on various tours / events, and have also been privilaged to work with a lot of the big names in the industry. In this time i have also DJ'd (who hasn't?), which is really where my passion for music stems from. I've been DJ'ing at home since 1997, and playing out seriously since 2001, and have played in various places accross europe, including Cyprus, Berlin, London, Manchester, Southampton and obviously in my hometown of Liverpool. In the past i have played with and shared bills with the likes of Mark Farina, Luke Solomon, James Zabiela, Kenny Hawkes, Graeme Park, Yousef, Demi, Jonathan Lisle and a few others who i can't quite remember...it's late for me on a thursday this is you know? it's like 11pm!!!Also in this time I part - owned and established a record shop, the now dearly departed Phase Records, which for the 2 years it existed attempted to break down the barriers of what seemed to be the ever lasting elitism of record stores, and bring some fun and some much needed diversity into the Liverpool music retail scene. It grew a great following (as many of you reading this might be aware of) and unfortunately it died due to circumstances beyond our control. However, it fulfilled, for a short period anyway, a lifelong dream of owning a record shop and attempting to inform, educate andmost importantly facilitate people's musical habits, beliefs and tastes in a no hassle environment.Nowadays i'm leading a bit of a mysterious double life. The interesting bit (that happens after 5pm) is that I'm currently training at SAE to become an Audio Engineer, something which I've wanted to do for a long time. I've wanted to get back to why I first got involved with music, which is to feel it and enjoy it, but also make it, and make people go mad to it.That's what it's all about, whether it be my own music, DJ'ing, or helping other artists, bands, producers and performers attain their musical goals, and again i've been blessed to meet some very knowledgeable, passionate people, who are completely aware with the fact that if you spread your knowledge to other people as much as you can, you in fact take another step towards immortality, as you are survived by the wisdom you pass onto others. So to restate, i fucking love music, i love the people who feel it, and the people who can make it and who can take music and make people feel, and most importantly make them think.thats me, feel free to get in touch...x
