llektriss began her quest in music and production as a Miami bass, and Electro Breakbeat dj in the year 2000. Though she was no newcomer to the nightlife club scene! It began for her in professional dancing. She traveled the nation to perform, compete, and earn scholarships from some of the worlds most notorious top professional choreographers. Trained in all arts of dance, her most beloved remained underground hip hop or "street dancing". Experiencing an opportunity to work with hip hop choreographers such as Dave Carter, and Eddie Garcia. She would then make the decision to continue her passion closer to home. In 1996, she would find herself working with old friend, and Miami Latin / Bass producer "Dj Laz", as she began to dance for the old school Miami hit radio station "Power 96" or 96.5 fm. As a Power 96 dancer, she would work the dance floor for nightclub crowds from West Palm Beach to South Beach before reaching most clubs legal entry age. As a club entertainer and dancer, it was no surprise that she was captured by the hype, sub heavy sounds of the underground electronic breakbeat scene. Although it seemed unnatural for her to leave the comfort of the dance floor, she would now have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the turntables from her long time friend, J-Tronik. Earning herself the reputation of "Ms. Boom", she would rock the dance floors once again from the opposite end of the spectrum. Exposing her passion and style in bass heavy Electro Breaks. As time progressed, she would continue to expand her love for music in production. Once again joining forces with J-Tronik, they would form the Electro Breakbeat collaboration ... PHONOTRONIX. Fusing together J-Troniks sub heavy beats and dark sinister leads with Illektriss's mechanical glitchy synths and vocals.
