About Me

Ehud Nathan is a composer, arranger, Irish bouzouki, mandolin, bodhran and whistle player. He is the founder of Black Velvet, Israel’s premier Irish band, and he plays Traditional Irish music and his own compositions with the band and with other musicians. With the band he performs regularly in concerts around Israel. He has played with Irish musicians Jerry O’Sullivan, Emer Mayock, Maire Breatnach, Cathy Jordan (of Dervish) and John McSherry, some of whom have recorded with Black Velvet.Ehud plays regularly at Molly Bloom’s Irish Pub in Tel Aviv and runs a session there every Friday afternoon. http://www.molly-blooms.com/Currently he is playing with Israeli rock singer/composer/producer Izhar Ashdot as part of his Irish tour. http://www.ashdot.co.il/index.asp
