I am the older of the Jareds.

About Me

Hmmm. Music. Its the force that drives the soul. Can't live without it. Listening, playing, writing, all of it. I enjoy playing with the Wilcoxons. Doesn't happen enough I must say. Have to get better at them keys. I have always loved the Beatles. Love George's stuff with them and afterwards. The spirituality behind his stuff actually brings me to tears sometimes. You know Something was written for Lord Krishna? A beautiful song about God.
Studying religion is my other favorite pastime. I've been studying on my own for the past eight years or so. Its also my major in school which I finally started in January.
I kick it with my cats in UA. Sometimes they help me study, most times they just meow at me. Don't really go out much these days. I'm a bit of a homebody. Schoolwork!

My Interests

God, first and foremost. My search for Him continues to bring hapiness and contentment. Baseball. Music. History. Anything navy still drags me in and probably always will.

I'd like to meet:

Oh, I don't know. A lot of the time, no one. At least no one that I don't already know or know of.

Music:

The Beatles, Tom Waits, Steely Dan, BTE, Los Lonely Boys and of course the Fugue tunes. I can listen to a lot of stuff but usually stick to a few things.

Movies:

Stand By Me, Seven, Shine, Seven Years in Tibet, Beatles movies, Napoleon Dynamite, Office Space, Grandma's Boy. Pretty random list but I don't really watch too many movies. It either has to make me think or not think at all. No middle ground here.

Television:

The History Channel is the best! Discovery channel, Mythbusters!, and the Military Channel. Anything else that sort of makes you think like CSIs and Law & Orders. The Young Ones, Freeks and Geeks, and of course Star Trek TNG. Can't live without ESPN, especially during baseball season.

Books:

Love reading religous texts and studying various faiths, a little hobby of mine. Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda is awesome. I enjoy reading the Dalai Lama and Prabhupada. CS Lewis is an outstanding author. Lots of other non-fiction stuff.
Salinger, Kerouac, Ken Kesey.

Heroes:

My father and brother.
