After Seven Months of hard work The Selectors are back on the scene with a new face behind the drums. The band has been practicing nonstop in hopes of creating the same sound that our fans know and love. We love our fans and aim to please. A big Thanks goes out to everyone for supporting us and for comin out and paying some ridiculous cover charges! We're workin on getting some free shows together for you guys to show our appreciation. Influences: i'll start off by saying you can never have too many influences.. here we go: Bob Marley, The Beatles, Sublime, Bob Dylan,Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Redwalls, The Doors, Nick Drake, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Joan Baez, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, 311, Yellowman, Peter Tosh, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, The White Stripes, The Strokes, Dennis Brown, Jacob Miller, and theres more..Basically listen to all the music i can. Take a lil of something from every song and then apply it to my tunes.
Sounds Like: Tough to say. A reggae base with folk, rock, and dub overtones. While reggae is our heart we can't deny the other musical influences we possess. If Marley and Dylan made music together i would think it would sound like us.
