So, you might have noticed that I put my phone number in my About Me section on my profile. Some people have expressed concern and ask why I did that or if its even my real number...so I'll explain.
First, yes, you can call this number and be able to reach me on my cellphone. But it is not my direct number. This number (817) 586-0279 hides my private cellphone number so I can feel safe giving it out in such a public place as myspace.
So to put it simply, no (817) 586-0279 is not technically my phone number, but when someone calls it, the call goes through to my cellphone and I can answer it just like a regular call. And the company that provides this service for my cellphone plays a 10 second ad before it connects you to my private number.
Why am I giving people on myspace my phone number? Because I like meeting new people and talking to people from all over. I guess you can say it adds a little excitement to my day to meet so many people. I'm a psychology major, so people are fascinating to me!
