In October of 2002, in Durant, Oklahoma, (of all places) five musicians came together and formed Thin Air Privilege. From 2002 until 2005 they played over 150 shows from Dallas, Texas to Southern Oklahoma, making many fans and a large following along the way. In 2004 they scored the Night Life Magazine “Rock Band of The Year†award. Around the middle of 2005 the band went on a lengthy hiatus. In late 2007 all of the members decided it was time to get back together and make music again……with the exception of lead singer Eric Hendley. With Kris Grimes taking over on lead vocals, they are now a solid and unstoppable four piece band. Thin Air Privilege is NOT your typical rock band. A desire to experiment with pushing the boundaries of the genre has prevented that, and thankfully so. The result of this is a band that has the ability to kick your ass, pick you up off the ground, soothe you, and then do it all over again. Thin Air Privilege is Kris Grimes(lead singer, songwriter, lead guitars),Wes Ford(lead guitars, back up vocals), Tony Marsh(bass, back up vocals), and Chad Masters(drums). Their first show back in the game is on July 12th @Breaktime in Denison, Texas. With another show July 26th @Skillman Street Bar in Dallas, Texas.....and there are MANY more to come...
