About Me

The Anti-Statistic, living, laughing, learning... and scribbling it all down. Just trying to right some wrongs, write some wrongs and survive long enough to pass the lessons down to my babies -- born and bred alike.
"You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit..." --Aristotle
"Practice is ultimately more important than the game itself..." --Tone Boots
"Yo soy el cantante, muy popular donde quiera. Pero cuando el show se acaba, soy otro 'mano cualquiera..." --Hector Lavoe/Ruben Blades
"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed with the things you DIDN'T do than with the things you did... " --Mark Twain
"Far better it is to dare mighty things than to take rank with those poor, timid spirits who know neither victory nor defeat..." --Theodore Roosevelt
"The artist must first be the camel, bearing the weight of schooling. He must then become a lion, and destroy his teachers..." --Friedrich Nietzsche
"Freakin' sweeeeet!" --Peter Griffin

My Interests

Writers write. But I also like distorting your perception of what "is." Figure that out, while I go make a sandwich...

I'd like to meet:

Small minds discuss people, average minds discuss events and great minds discuss ideas. Holla back when you figure out where you fit in.

Music:

Classics of all genres, including but not limited to Rock, Hip-Hop, Soul and Salsa. And everything in between. Still love hip-hop, even though she's a ho these days.

Movies:

Godfather 2 was better than 1. There, I said it. Also Gladiator, Get Shorty, Last Samurai, Last of the Mohicans, GoodFellas, Casino, Wedding Crashers (new, I know, but it's a helluvan example of great comedy)...

Television:

Showtime done stepped it waaaaay up with Dexter, Californication, Weeds and The Tudors. HBO still gets the crown for Entourage, though I'm gonna miss Sopranos, The Wire and Deadwood. The rest: The Shield, Mad Men, Heroes, SpongeBob (whut?!) and too many classics and future classics to name here. Can somebody say Dee Vee Are...?

Books:

Awww, maaaaan... The list would be waaaay too long. You wanna know, just ask. Seriously...

Heroes:

Don't believe in many. Lot of interesting peoples in history, but I wouldn't bestow them the title. Moms and Pops did their thing. And m'man below did too...

Spider-Man

Spider-Man 90%
Hulk 70%
Green Lantern 70%
Batman 55%
Iron Man 55%
The Flash 55%
Superman 50%
Catwoman 50%
Robin 45%
Wonder Woman 40%
Supergirl 40% You are intelligent, witty,
a bit geeky and have great
power and responsibility.
