L'amor che muove il sole e I'altre stelle.

About Me

I'm a 320.25 year old dad ( in dog years ) with 2 kids (one 21 and one 16) - So you can figure out why my mind is gone. I'm also a grandpa.

I like any kind of creative ventures especially visual arts. I've been drawing on the computer since 1993 and there are a few of my pieces floating around cyberspace. You can check out my long-running website: kiyotei's den for more info on my activities and samples of my humble work.

* Master Profile
I live in the great town of Carlsbad, CA and I'm totally jaded! One more beautiful day in the sunshine - ho hum.
I'm completely addicted to blogs! My first one was on blogger which I started in 2001. Now I have a Livejournal , a photoblog and a msn.spaces blog too. All of them suffer from neglect as I don't write each day.

My Interests

Art, music, hiking, camping, photography , ancient cultures, mail art, artistamps, art trading cards and zines.

I'd like to meet:

Friends, enemies, networking contacts, artists, musicians, coffee drinkers, punkers, rockers and pagans

Music:

My iPod is jammed and my hard drive has my entire ripped CD collection. I love ANY kind of music but I'm not really into the hip-hop rap or opera scene for some reason.
Faves: Rush, Social D, David Allen Coe, Buzzcocks, Code Blue, Dictators, Clash, XTC, Dean Martin, Bonnie Tyler, Bob Marley (oh yeah!), X, Commander Cody, Pati Scafila, Police, Bangles... etc.
A small sample of my tunes can be seen here: music list

Movies:

I like independent films, action and comedy mostly but as long as there is a good story and not too much sappiness, I'm up for it.Up In Smoke, Silent Running, Blues Brothers, Garden State, Kentucky Fried Movie, Swingers, Slapshot, Caddy Shack, The Jerk, Sideways, Fritz the Cat, Better Off Dead, A Clockwork Orange and The Grass Harp.

Television:

Don't watch it a lot - except for news -which is a bad idea because it really bums you out these days. Shows I do watch: My Name is Earl, Desperate Housewifes, Lost, Friends (reruns), How I Met Your Mother, Pimp My Ride, Cops, Cold Case Files, City Confidential and King of the Hill.

Books:

I read a lot- but I don't retain it sadly. Can forget the title and author a week after reading. Here's some I have read:
Dune, God Clobbers Us All, The Screwtape Letters, Heart of Darkness, Slaughterhouse-Five, Neuromancer, Strange World, Ten Big Ones, Gun Monkeys and A Map of The World.

Heroes:

Peace and War: John Lennon & John Wayne.

Lucky Frog Bashes Asia

It seems very ironic that the Typhoon which just hit Asia and killed several people is named after the Feng Shui approved three-legged lucky money frog: ChanChu. I don't think we would name a Hurrica...
