About Me

Rhizic formed in the summer of 2004. Robby Lester and Tristan D. Olson, after the dissolution of their former band Local Pariah, met with Justin Daily through an arrangement made by the future Rhizic bass player. Soon, practices were arranged. After only three practices, four songs had been learned and played regularly. It was obvious that the three clicked rather well. The band was named Rhizic approximately three weeks later.
Rhizic made thier public debut performance at The Carver Center in down town Chillicothe in November 2004. It served both as a birthday party for Robby's sister, Ashley, but also as a smash opening for the band. Other bands played along side Rhizic, such as Odius, Scold, Abject Fear (now known as Woe of Tyrants ), and Sourblood .
2005 started off right for Rhizic, playing at Club X (a Chillicothe Youth Recreation Center) on New Years Eve, followed up by their first Columbus performance at Oldfields on High later that month. In April of the same year, Rhizic musically kicked in the doors at the Unioto High School Talent Show and, along with Plain Truth, took all other contestants hostage like Heavy Metal Terrorists and beheaded their competitors...musically speaking, of course. Rhizic declared victory with the first place prize, Plain Truth having nipped on their heels the whole way for a well-earned second place.
But on the very verge of conquering all of Chillicothe, Rhizic's legs were kicked out from under them when they were evicted from their only available practice space. Five months passed, and many thought Rhizic had been neutralized. But there was a flicker of life yet. Thanks to bassist Steve Quillen , forever a strong ally of Rhizic, temporary space was provided until the band could once more set up a permanent residence.
Two years after formation, Rhizic has seen some highs, and many lows...but the ball is rolling once more. The fire that burns in all three of the members is still hot, and the beast that is Rhizic still breaths life. Slowly, we're crawling up out of the black hole that nearly destroyed us. We're setting our bearings and straightening our senses. Watch out, because Rhizic is back, and this time, nothing will stop us from taking what is rightfully ours.

The video above was shot by our very own Horde Member Number Two, Nathan Riley, while in Studio A of The Recording Workshop in Massieville earlier this year. Rhizic, while recording "Not Afraid". Unfortunately, the camera used lacked a microphone, so there is no sound. That was the deciding factor in its fate, so I took it back to Wal-Nuts and got my $150 back.
Anyway, here is the animated Rhizic goodness. Enjoy.
