This site is dedicated to a project I’ve committed a couple of years ago.
It is a simple idea of creating music using samples of exclusive origin. In this case the olny source for the samples was pure acoustic bassoon. I have been a bassoon player for a teen numbers of years ( see My Pics section ). And this site is kind of a ’fare well’ to the instrument.
The idea is not new or anything. But I must add here that this project was finished before I’ve heard ’Medulla’ , Matmos and Matthew Herbert’s work.
This project was actually a part of my work at Milton Avery School of Fine Arts at Bard College in 2002.
