Mike Maclain

Born and raised in Boston, MA, Mike Maclain is a songwriter whose love songs (and anti-love songs) are rooted in folk, rock, blues, pop, country, grunge, punk... you name it. His songs are often insightful, and he draws much inspiration from his classics studies at Hofstra University. Mike is a student in New York, where he shares his music with the Long Island folk community (favorite venues include The Cup, Spoon, and Acoustic Long Island, which has included him on its podcast several times) and is attempting to break onto the scene in NYC. He spends his summers in Boston, where he can be found taking the open mike up and down Mass Ave at Cambridge favorites such as Cantab, The Lizard Lounge, and Club Passim.
