About Me

"Man...dont diss the dorgan vocals....Brooding and Mysterious or Passionate and Vulger with a little Lovely and Soothing!" - Courtesy of Tom White lol if only it was true!!!
Below are some videos from various gigs including Barfly and The Cavern, and then theres a lot of ramble about maself n news updates below them. Enjoy the site have a look around!
The Falling Man Hungover big time...in ma house!
Juke Joint Times - Cavern 07
Orizon Barfly 2006
Chris Dorgan ripped up the quiet suburbs of Liverpool with his raging guitar playing! This however only took place in his house until he joined a covers band over 3 years ago. He provided them with thumping rythm, cheeky guitar licks and alcohol fuelled gigs. But it didnt take long to realise that covers was not his thing. He began to write!!
After a couple of months writing his own material, Chris got together a few friends who love playing music and went to take part in a battle of the bands competition held in Crosby. The sets seemed to impress the local audience and it was noted that this small town was not big enough so he went on to take Liverpool. His first gig in the City was to be in the Cavern where the audience lapped up the roaring guitar and soaring vocals. But within an instant it went from a haze of noise and ..... rock! to the quitest most intimates of gigs when chris asked the band to leave the stage while he performed a very unique version of Wonderwall. One man and an acoustic winning over 300 hearts! Then once the band came back onto the stage it went staright into the bass driven When Cities Groan... soon to become the young mans rock anthem.
Once the adrenaline of this gig had died down, it became hard to get the band together for gigs due to different loyalties, so Chris turned to recording! What was meant to be a 4 song demo became a full scale album which has had as many changes as Pamela Andersons breasts! But still it will hopefully prove to be somewhat of a masterpiece.
While recording this album (The Morning After the Night before) Chris was drafted in to play bass guitar for another local band Orizon who also happen to be some of his best freinds. Since joining the band, they have become one, perfecting their perfromance with a touch of charisma from the vocalist Tom White, the ripping solos from the grand master Austin Ray, and some of the funkiest catchiest beats provided by Jon Rymer. Chris however pulls the band together and adds that extra flavour. Now the band are going from strength to strength with some of the best feedback from the last few gigs! Keep an eye out for Chris's solo work and Orizon as these guys have the potential to be big. Enjoy the pictures and love the music!
BREAKING NEWS: Theres been a good summer of gigging going on with Chris Dorgan supporting the now world known Paolo Nutini, this was a good lil matinee gig, featuring austin ray on guitar. Unfortunately as many may know austin has now left orizon, but orizon have changed their image, set list and name....they are now known officially as The Hokes, with gigs lined up for over Christmas...keep an eye out this new sound might bring back some brilliant nostalgia of the blues along with a modern stab of style and charisma! thanx again, keep checking back for updates

The Hokes playing Baby Please Don't Go at the Cavern 2007

Sounds Like: The sound varies i would say, half rock half acoustic, the album at the moment is quite chilled out really with a few rock anthems as i would like to call them! With writing all the time theres always new songs with a different sound.
