About Me

In 1993, my crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime we didn't commit. I promptly escaped to the Denver underground, where today I survive as a "creative director". Proudly displaying no communicable diseases or credit card debt. Currently, I'm on a mission to become the sole peron on MySpace who does NOT have the obligatory "pic of self with beer in hand at crappy bar".
I watch bad movies, go four wheeling, biking, cook alot, read a bunch, and know way too many dumb facts. I'm just a big bundle of sunshine.

8 hours of bad baseball

Man, what a wasted day. I got up around 10, made muffins, went for a walk and watched the Pirates home opener at 11:30. Damn thing lasted over five hours and was monkey-butt ugly. Sure, I got up aroun...

What I Learned from Ace Frehley and the Pirates

I’ve never put my finger on it until now... but for me the "new year" starts after my birthday. Once I get over the depression of being older, balder, grayer and wrinklier every year.. things cl...

On the road to Albuquerque (and beyond)

So I’m leaving town tomorrow with the Old Man. This time of year, I usually go to Florida to watch some Spring Training games, but after last year’s somewhat lackluster outing, I was going...

What I Learned from the Little Rat Dog

Today I'm driving over to my folks' place and spot a frantic little dog running down the middle of the road. It's weaving in and out of traffic and while eveyrone's slowing down, nobody's really in a ...

What I Learned from Grumpy Ol’ Codgers

On Thursday night, I helped my old man tend bar at the K of C hall. The hall had been rented out that night to a certain group of people. While I was filling up the peanut tubs, I heard one old guy sa...

What I Learned from the Flour Shortage

So I was reading in the paper this week, a story about how flour prices have gone up by 42%. Farmers are abandoning wheat to grow corn for ethanol. Which, in the long run, will deliver no benefit to t...

What I Learned from Bang Camaro

Went out to the Bluebird Theatre last night to see Bang Camaro. I was hesitant, but my buddy was dying to go. He's a big video game junkie and I guess Bang Camaro is included in "Guitar Hero" and "Roc...

What I Learned on the Frickin Light Rail

Another storm hit Denver, overnight. Hoping to avoid last week's 1 hour and 47 minute over 14 miles commute, I decided to take the Frickin' RTD Light Rail. For once, I found parking and even though th...

What I Learned at the Nuggets

Went with the old man to a Nuggets game, last night. We had a good time..and I didn't curse or anything. I guess that's because, when it comes to basketball, I have no idea about the inner workings of...

What I Learned From a Crappy Novel

As most of you know, I'm a big baseball loon. I don't wave pom-poms or cheer mindlessly, rather I'm like one of those old codgers in the nursing home who sits in the rec room all day, playing dominoes...
