[ Cough Meds ]
For the past few days, a lot of people at the office have been hit by the flu & cold season. I started having an itchy throat early last week and then started coughing more and more as the week progressed. The regular Dayquil type medicines weren't helping, so I knew it was time to seek something stronger. So I went to the doctor today and now I have to take some nasty tasting syrup medicine along with some antibiotics. Fun times ahead! lol

I Support..
Despite all the differences there are from one person to another...our various lifestyles and backgrounds, our own likes and dislikes and our unique personalities...in the end we still have some of the most basic needs in common, we are all social creatures, we all seek the love and company of others. So if you've got a good heart, an open mind, a nice personality, and can laugh at my sarcastic remarks, then feel free to say hi. Guys or girls, straight or not....whoever/whatever....be cool, honest and most importantly, be yourself.I like chatting/emailing and am always interested in getting to know new people, on a friendship level. I'm not looking to meet up with people right off the bat. Over time, as I know some of you better, it's a possibility. But for now, mostly just interested in friendly conversations. If I add you here, it's because I want to get to know you. You are not just another number on my list. So please do say hi now and then!

There's a line from an Inner Circle song that says "Oh, sweet music, how can anyone live without it?" I couldn't agree more. Without music, I'd go crazy! Music is what adds that extra touch of "life" to my life, if thatmakes sense. A good dance song can really pump us up during a workout. A sad song can keep us company when we're feeling down. A love ballad can make that special date much more memorable. And ofcourse, we all have our guilty pleasures, those one-hit-wonders that we know are bad but still can't help singing along. I Love Music.
Name me a band or an artist and chances are I may have heard of them. If not, then I'll want to know more about them. I'm open minded when it comes to music. Whenever I am handed a CD, I always give it a listen.I've been surprised often by what type of music I get into! I like pretty much all types of music: anything from oldies to hip hop to spanish rock to funk to ska to swing to electronic to alternative to pop to cumbias to80's and all else in between. It's hard to pick a favorite band though, so I'm not going to try. Every week I'm into a different person or band. Just ask me when you talk to me who I'm currently into. I get exposed tomany new artists through my job, so if you ever need a recommendation, just ask me. :-)

I enjoy watching all types of movies, from the smallest of indie films, to the biggest of the blockbuster hits. I'll admist, most of my favorites are usually the big hollywood action type films. I enjoy the big special fx movies partly because I love the little worlds they takes us into...worlds thatsometimes only our imaginations can come up with. I also love them because computer animation fascinates me. It's an interesting/fun art. But a nice little indy film can be just as great! Especially the ones that tugat your heart. hehe However, I don't think I have a movie I can really call my favorite ...but at one point it was Jurassic Park. Dinosaurs fascinated me as a kid, and that was the first movie that broughtthem to life for me. I remember actually being kinda scared when I was at the theater and the first dinosaur was about to appear on screen. Oh, and I also love animation, too! (As long as it's funny and/or done well.)
Off the top of my cabeza, some movies I've enjoyed: X-Men, Spider-Man, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Memento, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Donnie Darko, Kill Bill, Shrek, Crash, Munich, Brokeback Mountain, Babel, El Laberinto del Fauno and manymore I could keep adding. For now, take a look below at some of the most recent films I've caught at the theaters.

I realize TV is the downfall of our civilization, but dammit I still love it! I'm was and always will be a Buffy fanatic. What can I say? From the first time I saw that show...I fell in love. It had the perfect mix ofhorror, drama, comedy, heartbreak and fantasy. It made me laugh so many times, yet also brought the occassional tear. I miss it.Aside from Buffy, a few other favorites are The Simpsons, Family Guy, Angel, and Smallville. Some new additions are Alias, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, QaF, Ugly Betty and Heroes. I guess I tend to enjoy the showsthat have some element of "fantasy" in them, some comedy, or just some mystery. The list continues to grow often as I keep getting into more and more shows. I can't help it, I'm an addict...and damn proud of it! :)

I don't read as much now as I used to. I'm always at work and all...but that's no excuse. I guess I've just gotten lazy. But I do have a small pile of books in my room that I plan to get to. I've already started pickingsome of them up again. For the most part, I enjoy reading fiction. I also like reading autobiographical novels, especially when I can relate to the author in some way. My all-time favorite novel is Jurassic Park. The movie was cool, but the novel is definitely the best!
Travel.
.
In 2005, I went on a two week "European Discovery" tour, going through some of the major cities in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France. I fell in love with every single city we visited...the cultures, the people, the scenery, etc. In the not-so-distant future, I hope to continue my travels to other areas of the world.

My parents. I look up to them. I admire them. I respect them. They have always been kind, honest, caring, hard working people. I couldn't have asked for more loving parents.
My best friend, my love and more. From the very first day I met him, I already felt so comfortable being myself around him. I knew we were meant to create a new bond. He's been a constant source of inspiration,
support, love, trust, and loyalty. To this day, I'm very proud of him and love him always.
Today's Visits.
