I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

This year is key for many worthwhile and exciting reasons. At this point, life is fun and I’m enjoying every minute of it! I’m standing at a crossroads because some amazing opportunities have come my way. For over a year now, I’ve been on an intensified walk on a road towards completion and fulfillment. In this time, I’ve set goals that involve enhancing the quality of my life through surrounding myself with positive people, righting some wrongs, learning from mistakes, participating in life, and continued growth through undertaking one challenge after another. It’ll be quite an adventure and I’m already enjoying it!
What an amazing journey it’s been thus far. Born in Zacatecas, Mexico, raised in the beautiful city of Pasadena, and educated at the amazing campus of UC Santa Barbara. Now, I work for the Parsons Corporation and serve as a Commissioner for City of Pasadena’s Commission on Human Relations, and lastly serve on the board of directors to the Pasadena Latino Forum.
UCSB has given me an amazing perspective on life and has allowed me to grow scholarly and meet some of the most amazing individuals who are now my closest friends. Being away from LA was a blessing in that I was sheltered in Santa Barbara making me more level headed and reserved to a certain degree while at the same time more open minded and critically thinking about the world around me and myself.
I'm an ambitious person who has little patience for repetitive cycles in life. There’s so much I want to accomplish; sketch comedy writing, starting my own website, pursuing grad school, finding the love of my life, continued activism in the queer and Latino communities, righting wrongs, and being a better person that I was yesterday.
The qualities I most admire in people are kindness, generosity, humility, leadership, compassion, strength, persistence, initiative and courage.

You're such a Scorp! And you get a bad wrap for standing up for yourself! Brenda, you were the moodier half of the Walsh twins, but somehow you always redeemed yourself. You were banished from 90210, it wasn't big enough for your ideas (and personalities), but everyone missed you and thought about you from time to time. When you were good, you were good, and
when you were bad, you were horrific. You made a grand entrance, a statement and had a nice exit.
