About Me

My name is Jose Aguilar but the majority of my friends call me Joey. I am Mexican-American, born on August 15, 1974 (33 years of age â€“ LEO). I was born and raised in Santa Ana (Orange County).
I am a freelance photographer. At the age of 15 (1989) I took a photography class in high school (Valley High School)to improve my picture taking. By the end of the semester I fell in love with the art.
The focus of my work is portraiture. I concentrate but am not limited in photographing the Latino community. I love to capture images of people who are from different ethnic background: Mexican, Puerto Ricans, Guatemalans, Cubans, Colombians, Peruvians and Argentineans to name a few.
My Space has helped me network across the country. I love to travel and have been fortunate to photograph in San Francisco, San Jose, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York City. I love New York City and visit frequently. This year I plan to finally go to Miami and capture images there.
