The Fabulously Deranged Miss R

There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

About Me

I endeavor to learn something new each day and will never give up trying to educate myself on literature, science, music and provocative body disposal methods.
I write a blog which is 70% crap and 30% sarcastic genius.
My cognitive process is driven by a dark and passionate nature making a lack of sleep axiomatic. So I write.

I'm incapable of holding a corporate drone job or my balance; unless encased in ski boots. I'm a cultivated misanthrope with no viable skill sets but great fun at your next party, providing you keep me away from sharp objects.

personal credo:
Anything worth doing is worth doing to excess

My Interests

Music is my life. Playing music, listening to music, finding new music and musicians. My trademark piano style is ragtime.

Currently I write original music for my own edification, belt out torch songs, and play the hell out of my keyboards.

Designing websites and creating graphics is also a big part of life; am therefore compelled to do the backgrounds on this page.

Love to ski. Downhill. Fast.
You can find me at Mt. Rose every weekend when there's snow.

In summer I hike, swim and bike and travel.
Hmmm, what else can I reveal without fear of possible imprisonment?

Member of Mensa but don't attend meetings. Retain my membership for use as a tool.
In the words of Groucho Marx...
"I'd like to join a club and beat you over the head with it."

Fave Musicians and Influences...

I'd like to meet:

Living: Iconoclasts Harlan Ellison, Randy Newman, Madeleine Albright, Kate Bush
Dead: Nellie Bly (Elizabeth Cochrane), Catherine I of Russia, Peter the Great, Tycho Brahe, Louise Brooks, Isaac Asimov, Mae West, Tolstoy, Niels Bohr

A Word About Comments Left...
If you should be kind enough to leave a comment (Oh by all means do!) please know that if I deem the graphic too large I shall delete said comment.
I design sites for a living and too much clutter, over-sized images, or tacky references make me stark raving berserk.
Unless, in a fit of madness, I place them here myself.
