About Me

Family Unit is an experiment in children's pop music with super loud guitars. It was formed by a juggler in the summer of 2005 and originally included the residents of eastside venue "the playground". In fall of 2005 Family Unit added DSM rocking duo BIG AMERICAN PARTY to the band, and became a full-fledged rocking machine.
Family Unit is relocating to the twin cities in September 2007. This is stage 2 of our plan to live in every major american city for 2 years, eventually building a fan base across the country. The plan is expected to be complete july, 22nd, 2058 when we get our first hit record, tentatively titled "Lando and Han vs Doug and Skeeter"

We were recently featured on You Are the Fuckers Vol. 1 with Des Moines' Teen Pussy. it can be found at ZZZ records, and other fine vinyl retailers in the des moines area
