Talking Mountain

About Me

Talking Mountain is Jason, Dan, and Micah. We play songs using guitars, synthesizers, loops, toys, and drum machines. Sometimes they are loud, sometimes they are quiet, and sometimes they are both.

Talking Mountain - The Nature of Magic...
Buy the vinyl LP!

Old Gold/Ancient Jamz was a collection of demos for a band that didn't exist, and The Nature of Magic and the Magic of Nature is a real album by a real band. It's both a streamlined pop album and a long-awaited document of how the band has evolved and existed over the last year, taking influence from everywhere (most notably, Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual), yet aping no one. Talking Mountain is nature and magic. They're Talking Mountain.

Talking Mountain - Old Gold/Ancient Jamz

Old Gold/Ancient Jamz is a collection of songs recorded from 2004 to 2007 after Jason's old band "Roarbot" called it quits. Originally intended as a children's album, then a filthy children's album, and ending up as a short collection of pop songs that no one was ever supposed to hear by a band that was never supposed to exist.
