Fantasy rules: His Dark Materials, Pullman; The Farseer Trilogy, Robin Hobbs; Harry Potter (pah to the critics :P) Horror/Thriller: Day of the Jackal, The Wasp Factory, anything by Edgar Allan Poe Plain amazing: Never Let Me Go, Ishiguro Fun: Nights at the Circus, Angela Carter; Pride and Prejudice, Austen Shakespeare - yes, outside of class. Philosophy: Voltaire, Russell, Humeand so on :)in fact i'll read pretty much anything except autobiographies - real people are boring
