DJ M-Killa

Biografie:
Angefangen hat alles als ich mit 10 Jahren einen Mixer zu Weihnachten bekommen habe. Danach kamen noch PA Boxen und Lichteffekte dazu. Ich habe dann angefangen mit CD Playern zu "mixen" und hatte gemerkt, dass es mir Spaß macht. Ich habe auch angefangen Trompete zu spielen, mit 12 bin ich dann umgestiegen auf ein Drumset. Schlagzeug spiele ich bis heute.
Mit 14 Jahren hatte ich begonnen Violine spielen zu lernen und noch andere Streichinstrumente ausprobiert. Zur selben Zeit begann ich in einem Schulchor zu singen und mit 17 trat ich einem Männerchor bei.
Mit 16 habe ich meinen ersten Plattenspieler bekommen mit dem ich letztendlich nur herumgespielt habe. Mich hatten schon immer Party-Remixe und Partybreaks interessiert. Hatte mir deshalb Magix Music Maker gekauft um solche Remixe und Partybreaks selbst zu produzieren. Darauf folgte das Programm Virtual DJ.
Als ich 19 war, habe ich mir dann etwas professionelleres Equipment gegönnt. Daraufhin folgten auch ein paar Gigs auf Geburtstagsfeiern, Abi-Partys und anderen Schulveranstaltungen.
Da darauf sehr viele gute Feedbacks folgten, habe ich noch einmal aufgerüstet: zwei Numark TT-500 Turntables, Shure M44-7 Systeme und Torq DJ-Software.
Meiner kurzen und knappen Biografie kann man entnehmen, dass ich mich viel mit Musik beschäftigt habe und verschiedene Instrumente spiele. Dadurch bekam ich ein sehr gutes Beat- und Harmonikgefühl.

Der Name DJ M-Killa ist durch einen amerikanischen Freund entstanden, der in Deutschland bei der Army stationiert war und meinen Nachnamen "amerikanisch" ausgesprochen hat. So wurde aus dem Nachnamen "Keller" der Name "Killa".
Bio (English):
It all started when I was 10 years old. I got my first mixer as a christmas present. After that I bought a PA system and some light effects. I started "mixing" with cds and noticed that it was fun. I began to learn how to play a trumpet but with the age of 12 I switched to a drumset which I'm still playing.
When I was 14, I learned how to play the violin and I also tried to play some other string instruments. At the same time I joined a choir in my school and with the age of 17 I joined a male choir.
When I was 16, I got me my first turntable and I started playing around on it. I've always been interested in party breaks and party remixes. That's why I bought the Magix Music Maker software in order to produce remixes and party breaks by myself. After that I got Virtual DJ.
When I was 19, I was able to afford me a more professional equipment. Soon afterwards, I had some gigs and spinned music at birthday parties, prom nights and other school events.
I got a lot of positive feedbacks that's why I set up my equipment again: 2 Numark TT-500 Turntables, Shure 44-7 systems and the Torq DJ Software.
This was my brief biography and you guys see music is keeping me busy my whole life and I play different instruments. As a result of that, I got a good feeling for rhythm, beat and harmonics.

The name DJ M-Killa was "invented" by an American friend, who was stationed on an Army Airbase in Germany. He pronounced my name in an "American way" and so my last name changed from "Keller" to "Killa".
