The Road is Fuckin' Hard!!!

About Me

We're just a ROCK band. Forced Entry has labeled their BORN ON date as the summer of 1997. Forced Entry wasted no time in releasing "American Beauty" in 1999. This record (surprisingly) was not acclaimed nationally, but did land them the opportunity to work with Sony Music in a record development deal. Unfortunatley their biggest ally, John Kalodner, left Sony shortly thereafter and so did we. . The release of the Sony Music epic never transpired and Forced Entry was sentenced to the next few years of playing college gigs and club circuits in the southeast. That's just the surface...Usually under the surface there is something with more substance and a stronger foundation that is never known...here is that information...Tony Thomas (Bass, LV) started taking voice lessons when he was 15 years old. He studied at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio. He studied light opera, pop and baroque music types before joining the United States Army. He proudly served in the Persian Gulf War during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield. After serving over 6 years, he was honorably discharged and began a career in radio. After 5 years, he made the move from studio to soundstage to pursue entertaining.Mike Moore (drums) has that football mentality of playing so hard that when the game is over, you have given all that you can give. Maybe that is etched in his mind from those balmy night games in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mike is not your average run of the mill drummer in a band. There are things about him that everyone doesn't know. How about this bit of trivia: Mike Moore has proudly served in the United States Army as an Army Ranger and has been assigned to 75th Ranger Regiment and 3rd Ranger Battalion. As a Ranger Instructor, he trained those future Rangers that grace the United States Military today, and in some capacity he continues to serve his fellow Brothers in Arms to this day. Not your typical story.Rob Hall (Guitar,BV) is the only true Georgia native on the roster. He lived his whole life in what some would call the heart of the South. He is the epitome of the "country boy" stereotype. When he's not on stage Rockin' Out, he's out on some dock fishing and enjoying the beautiful days that are a god-given gift of the South. It is those same simple traits that always lead us to our unique sound that is driven by Rob. He has the innate ability to craft chords, riffs and structure, which have always been the backbone of our music. Rob is proof that less is more. What does it all mean? It means that they are real men with real stories. The combination of Thomas, Moore and Hall is more than just getting on the stage and doing what comes naturally. There is a relationship there; a synergy that few can duplicate. No one in the band has ever had "mommy and daddy's money" and none of them got the silver spoon growing up. All that means is that they haven't been playing in a band because they CAN, it's because they WANT to. They all have a few simple things in common. The first of these is their PRIDE and DESIRE. The pride stems from the years of hard work to become NOT just members in a band, but also entertainers in a medium they truly enjoy. Secondly, they have the desire needed to create music! Anyone can learn to play a song, and maybe even write one for all that matters. But to fully enjoy the caliber and to completely convey one's thoughts through music and song, there has to be an element of passion and soulfulness that cannot be measured by record sales on most scales. It is measured and offers a sense of validity by the cause and effect response of your fans or captive audience. Collectively, we make music. We all write songs. As a band that responsibility is shared equally. Most bands are the supporting cast behind the singer/songwriter. Forced Entry is fortunate that all members have the ability to write. Our voice you hear is that of three, which gives the listener a variety of personal experiences that ultimately, they can also relate to. Playing music and being an entertainer is what it is about. A band bio is nothing more than some background information that hardly anyone reads! There are about a million little points of interest that would mean nothing to you, the reader if they were mentioned. But for Tony, Mike and Rob, those points have meant everything. Forced Entry is what it is, a REAL ROCK BAND...Believe it.
