About Me

all my teenage fantasies have come true. i am a rock and roll singer. amen.i have been lucky enough to play in bands such as beyond, 1.6 band, the last crime, goodlookin' shoe, and my current band, TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS (see below). everyone in these bands were and are much more talented than i could ever hope to be. they are and will always be mis amigos (i love all of you maniacs!).there isn't anything i love more than piecing together songs. there's a magic that happens when the right words and music find each other. i suppose it's the closest i'll ever come to immortality (which will have to do, i suppose). besides parallel parking, songwriting is the one thing i hope i'll be remembered for. but if it turns out only to be parallel parking, i'll take that as well. besides my extensive record collection, i also am knee deep in books these days. as we speak, i am studying literature at new school university and have read some truly incredible novels that will stick with me forever. to name a few: Light in August, Wuthering Heights, The Maltese Falcon, The Company She Keeps, The Good Soldier, and after twenty years, i'm still fascinated by The Great Gatsby. it's such a taut, finely polished piece of writing that has somehow explained the rise and fall of america in so few pages. i also still read Adventures of Huckleberry Finn every few months because, like Gatsby, it's probably one of our best and i'm still getting more out of it every time i pick it up.and oh yeah, i'm also a stagehand on a silly talk show. it's a lot of work but sometimes it's fun. i've seen stevie wonder, dolly parton, and the o'jays perform live from about twenty feet away. i suppose not too many people can say that.
