Its almost Mothers Day, 1995. The father follows a Mac truck down the rainy New Jersey highway. A car in the opposite lane hydroplanes and slides, as if in slow motion, into the eighteen-wheelers path. Hearing the sickening thud and crunch, the father slams on the brakes and races to the wreck. Whos skull protrudes through the wet and shattered windshield, miraculously spared from death? His own sons, mine.Unconscious, I survived thanks to the med-evac chopper and surgery, eventually waking to the rhythm of the life-support machines and monitors. I was spared, but not whole. The kind-hearted, loving child died that rainy day in May, and was replaced by an angry, lonely, sullen shadow of himself . The crash had erased all my positive emotions, leaving only anger and sadness. Once a outgoing free spirit, I became an introvert. I dropped out of life.My only hope was playing music ...I started teaching myself guitar, when I was nine. I still craved the freedom of musical expression, but I couldnt deal with the interaction required by joining a group. As I searched the depths of my soul for answers, I found solace in hip-hop. Creating music from inspiration to finished product, all by myself, blew my mind.As I combined my early influences in music with my new found influences, such as Digital Underground, A Tribe Called Quest, Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Scarface and Method Man, I found in myself the makings of an original, prolific artist.....Jersey: the place that gave me birth and nearly gave me death. Its the place I represent and the place I call home.As time passes, I find myself taking all of my past perils and turning them into positives through my music.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
