I'm not interesting in saving the world anymore. It is still interesting to me the direction the U.S. is taking politically, emotionally, religiously, hmm.

Books:
yes please.
I can't do favorites so here's what I have in my posession to read:
Alexandri Link - Steve Berry. When his son is kidnapped, Cotton Malone discovers a link to a conspiracy involving the lost contents of the Library of Alexandria, a priceless treasury of thousands of ancient manuscripts that vanished more than 1,500 years ago.
The double bind - Chris Bohjalian - Working at a homeless shelter, student Laurel Estabrook encounters Bobbie Crocker, a man with a history of mental illness and a box of secret photos, but when Bobbie dies suddenly, Laurel embarks on an obsessive search for the truth behind the photos. It's supposed to have some weird twist at the end. One to where you go back and flip through the beginning to figure it out.
Chairman of the Bore - Emily the Strange - In this graphic novel, Emily, a brooding girl in black with a posse of sinister cats, takes on the issue of boredom.
