About Me


A subsidiary of Gaia's Lap Foundation Inc. , Artists 4 Mercy is a volunteer program created for students, artists and other volunteers to express their talents, create opportunities, do fund raising to support a mission, educate arts to disadvantaged children, to connect to each other through arts and bring awareness and assistance to the needs of children in orphanages.
I am Anu, the founder of Gaia's Lap Foundation.
In 1987, Joseph Kony started a movement to overthrow the government of Uganda. The movement is known as the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). Children are forced to be soldiers, laborers and, in the case of females, sexual slaves. More than 30,000 children have been kidnapped by the LRA. These rebels, based in Southern Sudan are reportedly being sheltered and armed by extremists in Sudan's government.Each night, children between the ages of 3 and 17, referred to as "Invisible Children" or "Night Commuters" walk up to 12 miles from the refugee camps to larger towns such as Gulu in search of safety.
Everything and everyone is inter-woven for reasons that we may not always understand. When the time is right, the reasons behind people that we meet and circumstances that present themselves become clearer. It is an ever changing, constant journey of evolvement.
It's sudden onset, the replacement of ordinary consciousness by an Infinite Awareness, and the transformation of the self to the Self by the Grace of the Divine Presence....this is the accountability of Enlightenment in recent times.
