Lots and lots of things. However I do enjoy good music, cooking, knitting, carmex, the state of Wisconsin, questioning authority, literature, humanity, obese cats, colored pencils and thin markers, film, conversation, spelling things they way they do in the UK, and humour. If you like any or all of the above, chances are we'll get along.
People with a certain something...a je ne sais qoi.British people who appreciate Law and Order and don't get all weird when I say "Oh you are studying Law and Criminology! That's a show in America called Law and Order."
Elvis Costello, The Shins, The Smiths, Sufjan Stevens, The Replacements, Lou Reed, Jonathan Richman, please fill in the rest for yourself.
Cult movies, Fellini, Coen Brothers films, Do the Right Thing, documentaries, films with Audrey Hepburn, Paul Newman, Wes Anderson, but my favorite movie since I was 3 is Singin' In the Rain. I wanted to marry Gene Kelly and be Debbie Reynolds. So as sophisticated as I like to think I am, I will laugh at Donald O'Connor during "Make 'Em Laugh" and remember my sister thinking that he was dancing with a tooth in that scene.
Gilmore Girls, Adult Swim, the Daily Show, the British version of the Office, Law and Order, and Arrested fucking Development.
Virginia Woolf, Sylvia Plath, Irvine Welsh, Nick Hornby, Anne Tyler, Tony Kushner, Roald Dahl, Barbara Kingsolver, Jack Kerouac, Walt Whitman, excellent children's books.
My Family; Other people who are interesting to me: John Dewey, The entire Civil Rights Movement (truly amazing), Virginia Woolf, Mary A. Bingham, Mina Shaughnessy, Susan Rodriguez, Michael Warner, Oscar Wilde
