Time is contagious, and everybody's getting old

About Me

"I aim for the stars with the focus of a marksmen
And found out the hard way success is a moving target
For most artists it's so hard to hit
And so easy to quit at the first sign of hardship
But hardship only increases how hard I spit
Respect's hard to earn, money's hard to get
I'm at the school of hard knocks with no scholarship
So everything I got, I gotta work hard for it
From props and respects, down to dollars and cents
I've never been a product of put-ons or politics
Or caught up in drama and a bunch of conflicts
Ask me about other people's beef - no comment
I got enough problems of my own to deal with
To diss the next man's music cos I don't feel it? Shit,
Open up your eyes man, it's common sense
If it don't make dollars then it don't make cents/sense"
-Blueprint
"I have visions because
there are visions to be seen."
-Buffy Sainte-Marie
"The chief business of my life has always been to indulge my senses; I never knew anything of greater importance. I have likewise always had a good weakness for good living, and I have felt passionately fond of every object which excited my curiosity."
-Casanova
"Yeah, I was always the round nut in the square world. Not institutionalized yet though."
-C.D. Payne
"Been this way since I was a kid, filled with laughter,
always having fun cos happiness is what I'm after..."

"It takes a key intellect to hold two opposing viewpoints at the same time."
-F. Scott Fitzgerlard
"I tell you as my parting words: forget the channels. There simply is not enough time left before the world explodes. Concentrate instead on organizing, with so many others of like mind, a mass movement for peace such as there has not been before."
-George Kistiakowsky
"I love women who can think and stand up for themselves - the sexiest part of a woman is her brain, and, well, other soft parts."
-Gonzalo Rivadineira
"There are those who look at things the way they are, and wonder why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?"
-George Bernard Shaw
"Being an artist doesn't take much, just everything you got. Which means, of course, that as the process is giving you life, it is also bringing you closer to death. But it's no big deal. They are one and the same and cannot be avoided or denied. So when I totally embrace this process, this life/death, and abandon myself to it, I transcend all this meaningless gibberish and hang out with the gods. It seems to me that that is worth the price of admission."
-Hubert Selby Jr.
"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."
-John Lennon
"If it's illegal to rock and roll, then throw my ass in jail."
-Kurt Cobain
"I have offended God and mankind because my work didn't reach the quality it should have."
-Leonardo da Vinci
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents..."
-H.P. Lovecraft
"I'm smarter than you. I'm harder than you. I'm better than you. I'm just raw. I'm hotter than you. More popular than you. More clever than you. And gosh darn it, people like me."
-Lyrics Born (although that last bit was bit off from Al Franken as Stuart Smalley
"I am extraordinarily patient, as long as I get my own way in the end."
-Margaret Thatcher
"I accept that the only difference between fiction and reality is that fiction has to seem credible."
-Mark Twain
"I got so many rhymes I don't think I'm too sane
Life is parellel to Hell but I must maintain..."

"If I had my life to live again, I would make the same mistakes, only sooner."
-Tallulah Bankhead
"I no doubt deserve my enemies, but I don't believe I deserve my friends."
-Walt Whitman

My Interests

Life and death, love and hate, sex and violence, cinema and soundtracks, family and friends, words and silence, peace and chaos, nature and humanity, knowledge and consciousness, symmetry and asymmetry, innocence and impurity, explosions and implosions, the ideals (the future), the truth (right now), the lies (history), simplicity, abstraction, complexity, idiosyncracies, and I have a big affinty for Your Mom-esque related humor. Did I mention sex?

I'd like to meet:

I'll will never get to meet everyone I want to know, so I will remind myself that I know enough of the good ones for now and will meet the rest I must in due time.

Music:

I like most sounds and especially love those who spend their time learning how to master and manipulate it into organized noise. Having said that, just about anything relating to rock or hip-hop makes me feel cool and wanna get crazy and beat people up, but in a good way (excepting, of course, contemporary corporate versions of those genres, which more-often-than-not tend to make me feel lame and wanna hurl, in a very bad way)... The best music is the kind that soothes the savage beast while giving it a sledgehammer to smash open the doors of perception. That which will be your best friend when you need it, a good soundtrack when you want it and an infinite source of education, inspirado and discovery...
Viva la Touchers!

Movies:

...are the only thing I want to make more than love...

Television:

is a lot cooler than most people admit, though not worth nearly as much time as most people give it... For example, in my lifetime I have seen, live or rerun, far too many fine classics: [Inhale...]
