The Beginning is the End is the Beginning

This confession...has meant nothing.

About Me

~I'm a busy guy.
~I'm an independent professional wrestler. Don't ask me if it's fake.
~I'm a Creative Writing major (journalism minor) at the University of California, Riverside.
~I'm a singer/songwriter.
~I work at a camp during the summer.
~I'm an entertainment journalist/amateur photographer
~I'm a squire for the Knights of Avalon Jousting Troupe (www.knightsofavalon.org) But no, not like Medieval Times (pussies.)
~I read and write. A lot.
~I'm a huge fan of Chuck Palahniuk. But I feel very, very trendy because of that.
~Mispronunciation is a pet peeve of mine. As is misspelling.
~I am extremely passionate about gay rights.
~I'm a HUGE theme park addict. (Especially Disneyland and Universal Studios)
~I love driving.
~I think it's become a bizarre trend to be afraid of clowns.
~I am addicted to music. And movies. And books.
~I think it's pretentious when people make a big deal out of never watching TV.
~I also think it's pretentious when people see a film adaptation and make it a point to say "The book was SO much better."
~I laugh. Constantly. No, seriously. All the time.
~I am straight edge, and very proud of that.
~I am relentlessly optimistic.
~I don't think tipping at restaurants should be required. Tips should be earned.
~I am addicted to Halloween, because of many things: Haunted theme parks, the "Saw" films, dressing up for Halloween parties, the After Dark Horrorfest...it's just a pretty awesome holiday.
~I was at Denny's not too long ago, and overheard a kid reciting a Dane Cook gag from about five years ago. I laughed, but presumably for different reasons than he intended.
~As a writer, I believe very much in the power of words. As such, I am highly susceptible to them, both positive and negative. On the other hand, I can very easily utilize them, again, to both positive and negative means. I prefer the former over the latter.
~I believe that people who adamantly hate Valentine's Day are more often than not just bitter and jealous. I don't hate the holiday, but I don't use it as an excuse to only show affection one day out of the year. The other 364 work just as well.
~I find it troubling that Anne Geddes' work is so successful. Very troubling.
~I find it troubling that Larry the Cable Guy/Uwe Boll/Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer are still making movies.
~I find it troubling that places like Hot Topic and The Edge manufacture "nonconformity."
~I find it troubling that there are people in their twenties who only watch the Disney Channel.
~I find it troubling when parents live vicariously through their babies by putting them in onesies with band logos on them, or giving them little mohawks/fauxhawks. The fact that your baby is wearing something with a Metallica or a Social Distortion logo on it doesn't make you a "cool parent." It makes you a douche.
~I am in a very, very happy relationship.

My Interests

Wrestling...music, a lot more lately than ever before...movies, in a big way...definitely writing; it's one of my passions, and something I'd like to think I'm pretty decent at.

I'd like to meet:

Marilyn Manson, more than anything. Followed by Quentin Tarantino, Trent Reznor, Rob Zombie, Ed Norton, Chuck Palahniuk, George Carlin, Raven...I'll think of more later.

I adopted a cute lil' clown fetus from Fetusmart! Hooray fetus!

Oh yeah, and clowns. I love clowns.

Music:

Marilyn Manson, in a big big way. As loyal as I am to metal at this point in my life, I was raised on country; Garth Brooks is still one of my all-time favorite artists. Lately, I've been getting into a much broader spectrum of music...old-school hip hop, metal, country, emo/screamo...labels don't really matter to me anymore; if I like it, I like it. Oh yeah, and Brendan...I'm sorry, but yes...I do like Coheed & Cambria. A lot.

Movies:

SE7EN, A Clockwork Orange, Fight Club, anything Rob Zombie makes...I'm pretty much obsessed with "Sin City" as well as the "Saw" series. I know, I know...they're gonna end up making like a billion "Saw" movies, and chances are, they're gonna start being pretty bad. But I still love 'em.

Television:

Carnivale is probably my favorite television show ever...Penn & Teller's BULLSHIT...Entourage...The Office (US version)...The Ultimate Fighter...Pimp My Ride. Yeah, I said it, Pimp My Ride.

Books:

The "Sin City" series...anything by Chuck Palahniuk...The Divine Comedy..."The Long, Hard Road Out of Hell" by Marilyn Manson..."Scar Tissue" by Anthony Kiedis..."I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" by Tucker Max..."Silent Bob Speaks" by Kevin Smith

Heroes:

Marilyn Manson, Chuck Palahniuk, Dean Malenko
