I call myself a Singer/Songwriter....but thats really just a fancy word for dreamer. I have always been a dreamer....always. I grew up in Spokane, Washington- worlds away from any big lights or celebrities, yet from the time I was a little girl I was telling people I wanted to be a famous singer. I still want that...except Id trade the famous part for rich anyday! :) I moved to Nashville after college (5 years ago) to pursue that dream and I am so glad that I did. It hasnt always been an easy road, in fact, there has never been a time its been easy, but its been the most amazing experience of my life. I am humbled when I stop to think about all the blessings Ive been given and all the doors that have somehow been opened for me. I am equally grateful for the strength I have to actually walk through those doors!! That is sometimes half the battle. This past year a lot of dreams have become a reality. I have had 4 songs recorded on independent projects that I am so proud to be a part of, (Harry Luge, Jenna von Oy, Brooke Ludwick) and I sang background vocals on a major label record (JoDee Messina) I have made some wonderful friendships and fallen in love...and I wouldnt trade the first two for the last two anyday!
I am most myself when I am at home in my cozies reading a book. I am the least myself when I am on an airplane. I eat alot of twizzlers and I like to believe they dont count toward calories. I wish kitty litter boxes cleaned themselves and that plane tickets didnt cost so much. I love writing in black pen and will only use blue if I have no other choice. My car is usually a mess. I am not good at opening the plastic packaging from cereal boxes. Im a bit of a procrasinator. I am grateful for the people in my life who believe in me and dont mind when I interrupt a conversation to scribble down something brilliant they just said.....you know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
