Hello....I'm an easy going, playful, energetic, natural tomboy with many feminine qualities. I'm warm, caring, and fun-loving. I'm open minded and have a great sense of humor. I enjoy watching my New York Yankees when I can and dancing salsa as much as I can.

I'd like to meet:

"He must fall in love and really know a person before becoming comitted. But maybe people who felt that way had never learned the universal language. Because, when you know that language, it's easy to understand that someone in the world awaits you, whether it's in the middle of the desert or in some great city. And when two such people encounter each other, and their eyes meet, the past and the future become unimportant. There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love, and creates a twin soul for every person in the world. Without such love, one's dreams would have no meaning" Paulo Coelho"

I'm a huge Salsa fan! I love Cheo Feliciano, Ismael Rivera,Hector Lavoe, Eddie Palmieri, Herman Olivera, Willie Colon, Willie Rosario, Pete "EL Conde" Rodriguez, I guess anyone associated with the Fania All Stars! El Gran Combo, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Sonora Poncena never fail. I do enjoy a little R&B, Hip Hop,Reggaeton, Bachata and Merengue as long as Salsa is being played in between.

It is all that but it is also much more. To many displaced young Latinos all over the world salsa is a validation-it is home, a flag, and grandma. Kids who are constantly told that they are different because they are Latinos, despite being 1st, 2nd or even 3rd generation US or whatever born, will cling to this music for answers. It is a cultural place where they can belong, a socio-political movement, a platform to tell our stories and communicate across the broad expanses that we inhabit. It is a chronicle and a testimony that we are here on this planet, a showcase to display our talent to the world. It was an economic phenomenon that has alllowed many Lucky latinos to travel, be educated and live well. Salsa was the force that unified diverse Latinos and other non-Latino racial ethnic groups. It is our church prayer, town meeting, singles group and political rally, all at the same time." ~Willie Colon~
