City At Night

I have loved Latin music all my life. I've loved Salsa in particular. I loved it before it was salsa. I've loved it from the first dance date I ever went on. I walked into the ballroom and there was a very young Larry Harlow and an even younger Ismael Miranda, live on stage, singing La Contraria. I was hooked forever. Today I share my passion with anyone who will listen. I host my own Salsa radio show, The MamboGeezer Show, on Live365.com. I give lectures on Salsa music, the Puerto Rican Influence on Salsa, the early Puerto Rican/African American musical relationships and other topics. I continually research the lives and stories of our music's pioneers and present day performers. And, above everything else, I love to dance, as much as I can, as often as I can. I especially love to dance with the woman for whom I learned to dance in the first place. The girl I took on my first date so many years ago. She dances better than ever.
