About Me

I am a "bleeding heart liberal" who's getting tired from loss of blood; I work at a job that pays me well but only serves to make the rich richer and the poor middle class. If you could go back to high school knowing what you know now, what you be? Class clown? A cheerleader? Captain of the debate team? What does that say about the goals you never realized and the ones you did and found unfulfilling?"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." - Isaac Asimov

My Interests

Well, I do like to read and write, and I'm passionate about music and other things that make me passionate, and I think I like to run a lot too.

I'd like to meet:

People who can understand my reason for posting bad pictures of myself, so I look just that much better when you meet me face-to-face...and I don't want to meet anyone who has Madonna in their top 8! I like meeting new people and adding them as friends but send a personal message with your friend request, so that way I can at least say I know something about you. I WON'T ADD YOU TO MY FRIENDS LIST UNLESS YOU SEND ME A MESSAGE OR I ALREADY KNOW YOU...no matter how many times you send me a friend request.

Music:

The Bravery, Story of the Year, Ryan Adams, Dashboard Confessional, Sarah Brightman, Hole, Marilyn Manson, Chevelle, The Distillers, Heather Nova, Sarah Harmer, Snow Patrol, Travis, Joan Osbourne, Orgy, Trapt, Morcheeba, Stabbing Westward, 12 Rounds, Scissor Sisters, VAST, Ours, Bright Eyes, Garbage, Goldfrapp, Hot Hot Heat, Melissa Etheridge, Stereophonics, The Redwalls, The Arcade Fire, Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack, Air, Ladytron, ATB, Fiona Apple, Our Lady Peace, The Avalanches, Rob Dougan, A Perfect Circle, The Cardigans, Auf der Maur, A.F.I., Hole, Starsailor, PaloAlto, The White Stripes, Sigur Ros, and more

Movies:

Historical and dark and brooding movies like Dark City, Dancer in the Dark, Elizabeth, Far From Heaven, Underworld and In the Cut. Some other favorites are Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Spirited Away, Bad Education, Brokeback Mountain, Rules of Attraction, and Phantom of the Opera.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order, Mystery, Secrets of the Dead, Prime Suspect, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, Family Guy, South Park, Related, O'Grady, Medium, and just about anything on the History or Discovery Channels. Graham Norton is amazing too--if only they'd bring him back!

Books:

Dune, She's Come Undone, Interview with the Vampire, The Little Friend, The Secret History, The Eye of the World, Pride and Prejudice, Valley of the Dolls, Brave New World, Wicked (the book, not the musical), Prep, Neverwhere, Galilee, The Awakening. As for some authors: Jane Austen, Frank Herbert, Donna Tartt, Anne Rice, Christopher Rice, Kate Chopin, Edgar Allan Poe, Shirley Jackson, Anne Sexton, Guy de Maupassant, H.P. Lovecraft, Nella Larsen, Robert Jordan, Laurie Notaro, John Spaulding, Clive Barker...just to name a few.

Heroes:

All my ancestors who had children, who had children, who had children, who had my parents so they could have me.
