About Me

I think therefore I am. Too bad what I think about means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things... So now what am I? Thats the kind of misguided, disgruntled insight that I can provide. See what you're missing? Oh yeh... I've got more mindless banter where that came from... as if anyone is actually reading this....

My Interests

Favorite activities at this point include playing poker, writing, complaining about shit, herbal inhalation, reading (to ignore the evil TV drug), drinking beer, planning defense against injustice, playing chess (a lot less than I used to), and other things slackers do. My main subjects of interest are most varieties of math, pyschology, philosophy, archaeology, botany, sports journalism and creative writing... I'm an animal-lover- my favorite is the three-toed sloth... One of the most important things in my life is my 8-year-old cat, Ernie (aka the doctor, aka Doctoro Ernesto). He is big, beautiful and a bona fide genius... There is another furry boy- his name is Spike. He now lives with his mom- my ex and still best friend. Now Ernie has a new little companion. Her name is Daisy- AKA Gaseous Gray. She's adapting well so far, I'm proud to say...

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Black Sabbath is Numbero Uno The rest of (most of) my favorites, in no particular order: Sepultura, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Bob Marley(and the Wailers), System of a Down, AC/DC, Cypress Hill, The Doors, Ministry, NIN, Rage against the Machine, Soulfly, Beastie Boys, Led Zeppelin, Primus, OTEP, Mudvayne, Tenacious D, the Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, the Darkness, Dead Can Dance, Jimi Hendrix, Gwar, Radiohead, Alice in Chains, Brujeria, Pink Floyd, and the White Stripes

Movies:

I like a lot of stuff really, if it isn't shyte. Some of my favorites are: Dr. Strangelove:Or How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, The Usual Suspects, Natural Born Killers, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Apocolypse Now, Taxi Driver, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Almost Famous, The Shining, Pulp Fiction, Resorvoir Dogs, From Dusk Til Dawn, Super Troopers, Groundhog Day, Kingpin, Star Wars (3-6), The Labyrinth, Requiem for a Dream, Fight Club, Caddyshack, Death to Smoochy, Rushmore, Bringing Out the Dead, Monty Python movies. The list goes on....

Television:

I usually watch sports when I do succumb to the evil drug known as television (Lakers and Angels are my teams). I don't watch too many sitcoms, and the ones I do are almost all cartoons. The BEST SHOW.....EVER is The Simpsons-. Other favorites include: Family Guy, Duckman, South Park, Married...with Children, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, CSI, Monty Python's Flying Circus (if I can ever find it), Strangers with Candy, Arrested Development, Reno 911, Boston Public, Conan O' Brien, Daily Show, and Chappelle's Show...

Books:

Despite my limited search, the best author I will ever find is Chuck Palahniuk..."Who," you ask? He wrote 'Fight Club' (that is how I always have to explain who he is) among other great novels The original 'A Clockwork Orange' is an excellent book- the Americanized one (and the movie) cut out the most important chapter. The Zen Teachings of Master Lin-Chi is a great book on Buddhism.

Heroes:

Chuck Palahniuk- Author (see 'books' ); Stanley Kubrick Hunter S Thompson (writer, drug enthusiast, activist); Paul Schrader- screenwriter (Taxi Driver, Bringing out the Dead); Quentin Tarantino; Jim Morrison, John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix; Bob Marley, Maynard James Keenan, and those who fought for truth and civility, or to simply stay alive in the face of oppression. If we forget the past or ignore the present, there will be no future.
