As an artist, my first obligation is to proselytize what I do. Ingrained in all of my work is an effort to reinvigorate the viewer to their often-dormant nature. The language is simple and I strive to imply that any correspondence between a painting and its patron is a fundamental success. Certainly, I could fill up the space on paper with words effusing a great deal of intent and meaning for each painting that I have created, but that would also betray the delicate and personal connections formed anew whenever someone first encounters them. Not to belie my previous statements, but if one desires to pinpoint the specifics of any of the work's origin, the titles are the bridges for crossing into exploration. I do not ostentatiously title my work; each title is a labyrinth to conquer if you wish to. For me, Art History is a field rich with insight from which to mine observations. Through these observations, I wish to build and expand. My present work currently entrenches me in the study of Pablo Picasso and his life's work, as well as, Fauvism, Pop Art, German Expressionism, Cubism (mostly Synthetic), the "New York School", and the life's work of Stuart Davis. In addition, I am influenced by music and literature sources ranging from Fats Waller to Franz Kafka.
This is the bubble tea house that I manage; go and drink your fill!
