Carolina Velazquez

Guitarrista nacida en Córdoba (Argentina). Actualmente realiza conciertos como solista y en diferentes agrupaciones instrumentales interpretando obras de compositores argentinos y latinoamericanos en guitarra de seis y siete cuerdas. Dicta clases en la cátedra de guitarra del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Córdoba y ofrece cursos de “Entrenamiento Corporal para Músicos” destinados a estudiantes de Conservatorios y Universidades. Acaba de editar su primer CD "Imágenes Naturales", habiéndolo ya presentado en varias ciudades de Argentina y Brasil. ///Argentine guitarist born in Córdoba. She initiated her studies at the Conservatory of Music , and later she continued them in Parana (Entre Rios, Argentina) with the world renowned guitarist Eduardo Isaac. She has participated in numerous master-classes in Argentina , Brazil , Cuba and Portugal , with musicians such as David Russell, Leo Brouwer, Alvaro Pierri, Hopkinson Smith, Mónica Cosachov, Pablo Márquez, Abel Carl evaro, Eduardo Egüez and Dolores Costoyas. Her love for Argentine and Latin-American folklore has lead her to attend courses and seminars with some of its leading representatives: Carlos Aguirre, Quique Sinesi, Walter Heinze and Juan Falú. She also competed at international contests in Argentina, México and Portugal, and she also took part in several editions of the international festival “Guitars of the World” and in the “International Festival of Guitar of North-West Cordoba”. In 1998 she won 1rst Prize in the Guitars of the Word contest. As well as “The Stimulation Prize for Young Instrumentalists of Cordoba “ She currently lives in Cordoba City , where she regularly plays as a soloist, concentrating mainly on Argentine and Latin-American music for 6 stringed guitar and 7 stringed guitar. She also teaches guitar at the Conservatory of Music in Córdoba and offers specialized courses on body health for musicians. She has recently released her first CD, “Imagenes Naturales” (Natural Images), which she has been presenting in various cities of Argentina and Brazil .
