I'm 24 years old. I live in Robinson Canal, Louisiana. The town never was on a map and never will be because it's only one or two miles long and a few hundred feet wide. I speak English, standard French, Cajun French and American Sign Language. (Okay, I don't "speak" sign language, but you catch my drift.) I'm currently recording and documenting the variants of Cajun French spoken in and around the Chauvin area. I'm a French Language Education major at Nicholls State University. I play the guitar, the piano and the trumpet. I sing and write my own songs. I'm the Cajun Hip-Hop group La Brise du Bayou. Please add them. I am also Le Tabloid Cadien which offers celebrity news and so much more in Cajun French for a younger audience. I love Louisiana!

“[The corporate mass-media] serve to divert the unwashed masses and reinforce the basic social values: passivity, submissiveness to authority, the overriding virtue of greed and personal gain, lack of concern for others, fear of real or imagined enemies, etc. The goal is to keep the bewildered herd bewildered. It's unnecessary for them to trouble themselves with what's happening in the world. In fact, it's undesirable — if they see too much of reality, they may set themselves to change it.” — Noam Chomsky
