About Me

Heya! I'm not very good at this whole "about me" thing, but here goes! You already know I'm 26... hopefully... if not, you're blind...
I am a licensed massage therapist. Lovin every minute of that. Becoming a massage therapist has proven to be very fulfilling. It's really nice to know that I have the ability to help people whether it is simply to relax and unwind or to ease their pain.
My favorite people in the world are all under 5 feet tall.
..
They're named Denise Nicole (8 year old neice), Jazzmine Aliyah (5 year old godchild), Nathan Thomas (newborn nephew - Sept. 12th), Brooklynn Amber(Stacie & Justin's 2 year old who I also claim as my neice lol), and Justin Paul Jr. (Stacie & Justin's 1 year old who I consider my nephew)... and Stacie and Justin just had another lil boy!!! I'm Korbin Xavier Neal's nanny!!!I love my 5 year old miniature schnauzer. His name is Tux Black Tie Affair (Tux is what we call him) I used to be a cat person, but then I met Tux I love music and totally dig concerts and live shows. I'm long overdue for another concert! Last show I went to was She Wants Revenge with Monsters are Waiting and Pretty Girls Make Graves in Baton Rouge. Bands I've seen live and wouldn't mind seeing again: Korn (twice), Nine Inch Nails with Saul Williams, Nine Inch Nails with A Perfect Circle, Kitty, Rob Zombie, Flogging Molly (twice), Rammstein, Orgy, Ice Cube and everyone else who played in the first Family Values show back in '96. Geeze this list is too short! lol
Only show I saw that I didn't like was Staind... I think they suck more than I care to admit... It was so pitiful that we left before the show was over and boy was I glad Kittie played before them!
I love water... wanna go to the beach?!?
I really want to go fishing... don't care where... let's go!
I love random road trips to nowhere and back.
I love taking pictures of people and stuff in general...
My favorite hobby is jewelry making! My friend Stacie (whom you may call my sister) and I get together to make jewelry often. Probably not as often as we should since we are sort of in business together :-p Lately we've been setting up a booth at the Art Market which happens at the same time as Live After 5 at the courthouse square. You should come check it out and look for us! It's a good time! Also, we have a myspace page set up to showcase some of our work... You can find that on my top friends list ;-)
I love to read, just don't do it enough lately.
I love my friends, and don't know where I'd be without them all in my life!
I love my parents to pieces. I know where I'd be without them... no career and living in a cardboard box! lol They are my salvation! I could never repay them for all they have done for me. I like to play video games, especially shooters and rpg's.... heheh
lol
Okay... I've said so many things that I love.. how bout what I don't love? lol
I don't like closed minded people... people who are arrogant and full of themselves... fake people are no fun either...
I don't like rudeness... hate... lima beans... politics... animal abuse... time... literbugs... dead batteries... Strange, I can't come up with any more things that I don't like at the moment.
I'm online alot... Feel like chatting it up? My yahoo is camethyst_owl I'm curious to see just how many of you will actually use this information! lol
I'm a pogo.com nut... I'm camethystowl985 on there... wanna play? lol
I really need to get out more often!!! lol

My mom's old family pic. A true Houma Indian family. As far as I know, you can still view this picture in person at the Southdown Museum and Plantation in Houma. To the far left is my grandfather, the late Chief of the Montegut Village, Jimmy 'Jim' Courteaux, and to the far right is my grandmother Albertine. Between them from left to right: Aunt Jennie, Uncle Autry, Aunt Merline, my mom (Liz), Parran Mack, Aunt Kate, and Aunt Merle. A few of my other aunts and uncles were not present for the picture. This picture was taken when my mom's family would do native cultural demonstrations for the public back in the late 60's to early 70's.
