Killer B's largest live audience where she performed a solo ballet variation seated over 5000 people and was nationally televised. However that was back when she wore pointe shoes everyday. Her choreography has been performed across the united states receiving numerous awards for her dance creations and costume design.She currently enjoys teaching ballet for a world renowned company that gave her more than they will ever know.She has worn many shoes so to speak... (Her favorite pair of shoes these days are bare feet, slippers and new balance ;) After years of dancing on stage. In the club scene, house parties, parks, elevators, the corner store, basements, roof tops, the street, and her living room. Moving her body/instrument to many different types of music. Killer B decided to TAKE ACTION...knowing what music makes her body move no matter if it wants to or not. DUBSTEP.... She had to ask herself why stop here? "If I know what sounds good why am I not making it" Killer B became infected with the Dubvirus in early 2006 collaborating with The Milkman. The two of them opened the innovative and provocative seattle based Dubstep label "Insectmind". Her first dubstep production, also a collaboration with The Milkman called "Parasight" was aired on the KBCS terrestrial radio and was greeted warmly by the local music scene. Her haunting whisper can be heard opening up the track, and then following the dirty synth tones throughout the rest of it. Her next work with The Milkman was a tune entitled "I Am", this tune
was commissioned by Pacific Northwest Ballet School to be used for their Discover Dance program which allows four-hundred children to take part in a work shop lasting three months where they study dance and learn what it is like to be a dancer. The Milkman made history by putting his turntables on stage at McCaw hall to play this tune live onstage to an audience of 2000 while the children danced to Killer B's choreography. As you can see there is more than meets the eye to this producer.In her words, "I want to bridge the gap between Electronic Music and many forms of dance, including Contemporary Ballet". She is a heavy supporter of the Seattle and worldwide Dubstep scene, Hosting "The Insectmind Show" that airs each friday on globalvortexradio.com. Most recently falling into the roll of booking agent to bring out the likes of Joe Nice, DJUNYA, Cursed Chimera, and has plans for many more. Promoting artists, and great humans is the food that feeds her soul and she is ravenous!!
