on march 14th 1985 ONE WAY was born (born Anthony Deegan) in phoenix arizona on th old airforce base to his 19 year old mom, his dad decided it best to not be around from the get go so he rarely saw his father he lived with his mom grandma grandpa great aunt and great grandma, they lived in a quiet suburban neighborhood where he was givin almost everything he could ask for and lived in a very loving and nurturing home...he grew up listening to country music and 80s hair bands but his mother also played some of the hip hop of the times (their favorite being CANT TOUCH THIS) that was his first encounter withhip hop...but it didnt stick with him very well at the time
at the age of 6 his mother decided to follow her heart and move to cali where her sister (his aunt) lived at the time, thier house while full of love was not a quiet suburban home and times were very hard and his aunt and uncle didnt keep the best company around (they were at the time drug addicts but now clean and sober church going peaceful ppl), with thier habits though came the shady ppl, that is what ONE WAY so that was the type of ppl he was around for quite sometime
after some years a marriage that didnt last and a new little sister ONE WAY his mom and baby sister moved to san diego to a some what questionable neighborhood but ONE WAY was never really involved with all that however he met his first real "road dog" justin...they were together alot and that is how ONE WAY was introduced to alcohol and cigarettes but he never made it a habit just an occasional activity and they also took part in various "street" activities but for the most part ONE WAY was still interested in being a kid, however justin got him more interested in hip hop and this time it started sticking to him more
once again ONE WAYs mother didnt have much luck with this marriage but he had one more new sister so the 4 of them moved to escondido in 1996, now this nieghborhood was definately questionable but ONE WAY had to buck up and help his mom with his little sisters while his mom worked 2 jobs however every chance he got he took to the streets, this is where he met eddie cruz (sick riffs) they ran the streets together and got into some trouble. at the age of 15 ONE WAY heard a couple of friends freestyling amongst themselves. Facinated by what he heard he figured he would give it a try, and sick riffs got into making beats, now 7 years later he is perfecting the craft and constantly trying to raise the bar for himself, and sick riffs is banging out some of the hottest and most original beats he went from a beginner spitting weak rhymes on street corners and school, to being a well rounded very talented MC recording albums and mixtapes. he is currently working on his second album and second mixtape as well as numerous guest spots and collabos.and now with a son on the way and a good healthy buzz surrounding his name his focus and drive cannot be matched
