At the age of 12, Mick Gee began freestyling with childhood friend P. Wash.(Full name unable to be given) which made him want to get into rap. By 13 Mick Gee started to write and freestyle more with P. Wash. and they began to enjoy rap more. In his 9th grade year,Mick Gee was starting to take it serious and he started to think "outside of the box" that everyone was trapped in. He kept quiet about his artistic ability because he says, "My flow isn't perfect, and Im just not ready yet." He was still rapping and writing, and came to the realization that he needs to rap off of his own music, he was tired of "jackin beats." Mick Gee started to produce his own music in his home. By Mick Gee's 11th grade year in high school, he finally freestyled in front of people at a high school gathering. From there Mick Gee developed the confidence to rap and freestyle more often. In his 12th grade year he began recording his music. He first let his best friend Jasmine Williams hear his music. Mick Gee with the help of two close friends, Kindra Sherrod and Ra'nelle Dudley, developed a "Crank Dat" for the high school.
