The video below is Whutsiznaim "There it Goes" which I did the beat for!!! So check it out!!! If you need the code to put it on your page let me know!!!In 1995, Keith “K Slack†Slack made his debut performing in front of his school in St Croix, VI, giving positive words for the DARE program. Little did he know that would be the first step towards the pursuit of what would become his life-long dream. While most kids in the 5th grade were still on the playground, K Slack began to design his destiny. In late 1995, K Slack moved to Durham, NC, where his fascination with hip-hop took hold. Even though Durham was not known for its local hip hop scene yet, there were many young artists on that rise that influenced and motivated K Slack. Listening to upcoming artist like Flawless, Sun Du, Tyfu, Whutsiznaim and Camara Thug showed him how a hot song should sound. K Slack began to sharpen his skills by rappin at lunch in school, watching emcee battles, and calling in to the local radio station every chance he could to get on the air. Also with influences from major label recording artists like RedMan, Snoop Dogg, Dead Prez, Jay-Z, M.O.P., Nas, Ghostface, Raekwon, and Dr. Dre, K Slack began to initiate his own style of making music.“Ima take it way back, boombox pumpin’ air in my reeboks/ hip hop, raw & unchop/ black cop black cop to the hip hip the hop you don't quit/ K Slack, yeah I’m here to rip shit/ 5 o’clock in the morning where you gon be?/ in the studio as I emcee/ heather B if they knew how you felt about the rap game/ they would find a new method man to bring the pain/ it’s a shame you say she's just a friend/ but the biz took control & won't let me in†(“Showtimeâ€, The Reincarnation of K. Slack)K Slack also recognized another forte as a producer, by learning from Khrysis and 9th Wonder, two premier producers from North Carolina. Around this time, he met J Gunn, and Killa K, which led to the beginning of Thethyrday. K Slack began to exhibit his dual talents as an emcee and as a producer. Being able to place himself on both sides of a beat allowed K Slack to explore and manipulate his two talents. Being able to create awkward loops or set up patterns that capture a certain feeling for an emcee and being able understand what an intricate rhythm needs from its words gives K Slack an advantage over most artists on the rise.Being able to express himself through words and sounds that people can relate to continues to be the driving force for his love of hip hop. K Slack writes about everything from love and politics to pain and philosophy. Each of these themes is influenced by powerful events in his life. The death of his father at a young age, the deaths of two close childhood friends in 2005, and the birth of a son gives K Slack an appreciation for simple things and a passion for his talent. With this insight, he is driven to reach his full potential as an artist and seize every opportunity to reach an audience.“They say alot rappers have the same message just use different words/ but there's nothing new underneath the son you heard/ reading probverbs, listen to the words of the wise/ 30 saying when Im lackin’ knowledge needs some advice/ so I, keep these saying deep within my soul/ I‘m gettin’ old, a grown man does grown man things/ I was a teen havin’ wet dreams a boy in my mind/ over time I mature but I’m still far behind/ now I’m, in the dark carrying a torch/ but of course it ain't easy I been there believe me†(“My Lifeâ€, The Reincarnation of K Slack)K Slack has opened up for major artists, like KRS-1, Masta Ace, Ludacris, and Little Brother, while performing at venues like Local 506 and Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill, NC and The Lincoln Theatre, Poorhouse, Berkley Café, and The Brewery in Raleigh, NC. He has credits for producing songs such as “Dangerous†by Shelly B. featured in Down Magazine, and mentioned in the Source Magazine’s “Unsigned Hype†article featuring Shelly B. However, he is not letting his pen go to waste. TheThyrday members have gone their separate ways, but K Slack is focused heavily on his new solo project “The Reincarnation of K Slack.†Whether you see him on a major label or as an independent unit, his primary mission is to have his music heard and respected by all.“the heat is on, who's gon take the crown/ when the top producers & artist all fall down/ me, better realize before its too late/ I don't appreciate fakes, & I will not take/ no bullshit from A&R so called superstars/ been around them all & still not impressed by far/ so think large & dream big/ action speak so I m not lookin’ back after this, shit!†(“The Reincarnation Introâ€, The Reincarnation of K.
