Todd Mankin and the Todd Mankin band are a Fort Worth, Texas based band that was constructed in memory of Todd's younger brother, Jeff Mankin, that was killed in a boating accident in June of 2005. Currently formed by Todd Mankin (rythm guitar, lead vocals), Chris Bullard (vocals, lead guitar), Chris Stuart(vocals, guitar), Danny Najvar (steel guitar, mandolin, dobro), Rob Short (bass guitar), and Matt Bashore (drums, percussion). They have all worked in the Texas Music scene for several years.Armed with a mix of high energy, attention grabbing original songs and a few well picked covers these guys instantly draw their crowd to attention. All of their soulful and sometimes blues driven original songs were written by Todd Mankin. Those who know Todd are well aware of his emotional song writing ability, his unusual vocal range, and unique ability to grab the attention of those around him when performing solo, but, his energy and animation is escalated once he is plugged in with the other members of their band. The live show is fun with songs like "Roof Over My Head", yet heart felt and sincere with songs such as "June Time", which was written as a memoriam for Todd's younger brother that died tradgically."June Time" is set to be the title track on the debut album which will release December 14th 2007 (Jeff Mankin's birthday). There is definitely something in this music that makes you want to get up and dance, but be sure to listen as you tap your toes to the clever and sometimes dark words of expressionism. With several new songs and many in the works, the Todd Mankin band's fan base is ever expanding. The members of the band are from cities strewn across the Lone Star State, but now all reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. Todd Mankin, originally from Lubbock, now lives in Roanoke. Chris Bullard is originally from Oklahoma and now lives in Corinth, Matt Bashore from Flower Mound currently resides in his hometown. Paul Baker, from Amarillo now lives in N.Richland Hills.Stay tuned as "June Time" is now complete and should hit radio and record stores in the coming months!CLICK HERE for booking info and electronic press kit:View Todd Mankin's EPK }
