Barnsdall Art Gallery Theatre (4800 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027) in Hollywood. Near the intersection of Hollywood & Vermont.
WHO:
The REAL Youth Center of Asian Pacific Health Care Venture (APHCV) is proud to bring together participants from local schools and youth arts organizations, including John Marshall H.S., Downtown Magnets H.S. and Belmont H.S.; City at Peace, Futureshock Los Angeles, Create Now!, REACH L.A. and many more.
WHY:
YOUth & Identity is an annual community event that provides a space for youth expression in a variety of media including theater, music, spoken word, MC and film. It also serves as a vehicle to raise awareness concerning various teen health issues, with its main focus on pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease prevention.
Located in east Hollywood, APHCV is a non-profit community health center whose mission is to provide affordable, culturally competent and quality medical and health education services. REAL (Responsible, Educated, and Active for Life) Youth Center of APHCV provides youth development activities, education, and a safe space for teens to get their questions about health answered.
